When Sienna woke up the next morning, she was stunned to find herself in the duke's bed.
She sat up and glanced at the other side of the bed, noting that the sheets and pillow were untouched. It seemed Lemiel hadn't slept beside her, which was a relief.
She touched her neck and remembered what had happened the previous night. She squeezed her eyes shut at the warm feeling flooding over her at the memory. Then her gaze fell on the bedside table where she found her necklace and a hair tie.
It wasn't her hair tie, though. It was a pale blue ribbon that she had never used before.
She wondered if the vampire had taken it from his sister, as all the maids wore black hair ties. That didn't matter. The sun had risen, and the servants shouldn't see her leaving the duke's bedroom at this hour!
