Lemiel took a bite of his food, glancing at Dylan, who was sitting across the table. He then took a sip from his glass of blood.
"It is not because I don't want the position, your majesty. Being the prince's adviser is an honor, and his highness knows how much I am willing to support him," Dylan spoke with politeness, which made Lemiel's lips twitch subtly because he had a feeling he knew what the man was about to say.
"But I do not think the position should be given to me. Although I have been working with Prince Benedict for years, my experience and knowledge are not enough to be his adviser. I suggest you choose someone who is older and wiser."
Benedict was not surprised. As a close friend of Dylan, they might not have discussed it, but he knew that the man didn't intend to stay in the royal capital.
