Yoshito enters the subway with an expression of fatigue.
There were about two other people besides him on the subway. One of them was wearing a scientist's lab coat and carrying a notebook, and the other had long hair, wore a men's kimono, and carried a katana at his waist.
"What the hell is this? A cosplay competition?"
"Those guys were a bunch of trash, it wasn't even fun," said the samurai, arms crossed next to the scientist.
"Of course! They were a bunch of amateurs!"
"You're even more of an amateur than they are when it comes to magic."
"SHUT UP! I may not know much about magic, but in compensation, I'm one of the best hackers and scientists in the world. With this notebook I bought more than 15 years ago, I managed to hack the FBI. I bet you can't do that, huh? Besides, I'm the one who provides the information for your missions, and that physical strength of yours that surpasses human limits was thanks to the modifications I made to your body."
The scientist finished adjusting his glasses with his fingers.
The samurai was defeated by the scientist's argument and fell silent.
"Wait, did they say magic?" Yoshito sat down on the subway seat and thought, "They must be joking. One is a samurai who uses magic, and the other is a scientist who hacked the FBI? It can only be that!"
Of course, seeing a scientist and a guy pretending to be a samurai on an empty subway at this hour of the night was rather strange.
"But what if it's true?" Yoshito said, looking down. "If that's true, if magic really exists, why am I only finding out now? Could what the new student said be related to magic? And even more, could he himself be related to magic? But if magic exists, why has almost no one heard about it? Is it something that only super-secret organizations or small groups know about? What could it be?"
Yoshito kept thinking, head down, the entire subway ride about the subject.
When the subway reached the fourth district, where Yoshito lived, he got off.
While climbing the stairs of the underground subway, Yoshito smiled and said, "Magic probably doesn't even exist! Those guys are just crazy, and the new student is an idiot!"
PART 2 - District 6
The new student was on top of a thirty-story hotel in District Six and said, "Five minutes until seven o'clock."
"When seven o'clock arrives, the greatest sinners, considered demons who traded their humanity for power, will appear before the blood moon."
He sighed and then said, "A great massacre will happen."
PART 3 - District 4
While Yoshito was walking back to his house, he looked at the moon and said, "I don't know why, but I feel a bad premonition."
Was this premonition due to an irrational fear of the unknown, something he didn't even know existed, or was it just his imagination?
Yoshito ignored his bad premonition and continued to walk.
Suddenly, a cold chill ran through Yoshito's body, and an overwhelming fear appeared before his eyes.
"The moon is red..."
