Cao Guang readjusted himself as a Shield of Rocks appeared between him and the creature.
Rock Barrier Stone Ridges
Cao Guang didn't stop there and activated his equipment.
The punch finally came to a stop as it pierced the Light Protection and sent Cao Guang twenty steps back.
He was happy that he purchased a Spirit grade seed of Earth element before coming here and wasn't stingy.
He was also sad that he didn't buy a Spirit seed for Light element as his magic equipment was thrashed and unusable.
He jumped on to his legs to find that a Flame Sword from the Flame Belle had pierced the creature and sent it to its death.
He was even more happy observing the Soul Remnant being collected by the Little Tora pendant.
Cao Guang sent Fenrir and the Golem back to the summouned plane and handled his loot carefully while using Earth Wave to speed up his return.
On his way back he gets to analysing his current abilities, he can fight a semi Commander or the weakest commander barely if he borrowed Calamity Fire from Little Flame Belle.
But that only included his offence, his defences on the other hand had no chance of stopping a Commander alone in the current state. If he was able to get another element to the Advanced level like Lightning he would be able to fight a semi Commander alone. He would also need Earth and Light elements to be at the peak of the intermediate level.
---
It was mid November when Cao Guang bought another Galaxy Vein for himself. He had sold the Reciever Crystal and a lot of Soul essences the last two months he was here.
He had gained over 112 million, leaving him with 72 million after the purchase, he also had made a quick trip to Magic City to improve both his new elements to the second tier of the intermediate level.
Cao Guang had yet to find the den of the Mud Morphing Monsters and decided to postpone the finding of the Reciever Crystals, or other useful resources.
Moreover he had accumulated enough Soul Essences to upgrade both Light and Earth Nebula to the fourth tier and for now he kept the soul essences in the Little Tora pendant and only improved both the Star dusts to the fourth tier.
Fourth tier of Brilliant Light let him cast Sacred Prayer, it could help detox from negative effects of Shadow element and deal with some dark poisons. It was spell that treated Mu Xumian. The fourth tier of Earth Wave also let him travel much faster.
For now he was happy to concentrate on his Lightning Nebula, it was a younger brother to Summoning, but now was getting the nod over it.
Cao Guang focused on the Nebula as the energy of the Galaxy Vein along with the fourth tier Nebula made pushes at the Galaxy barrier.
The Galaxy Barrier was fragiler than it was for the Fire element, Cao Guang was in just as much as when he broke through with it but with the help of three step tower alongside the other two, he was able to over come it eventually.
His Lightning Nebula expanded to form another 294 stars and became a Galaxy, the spiritual energy held in the Galaxy was many times more than the fourth tier Nebula.
Cao Guang reckoned that he could face that semi Commander Rock Monster with more ease as long as long as he ambushed it. To fight it one on one in a frontal battle he would need a movement at the same level and defence at the same level. But he was getting closer to it.
Cao Guang spent the next two weeks between training to control the stars of lightning element and this time around the process was much faster than before.
He had gone through it once and also had the magic accelerator that he bought for 250 million he had gained a good control over his Galaxy within three weeks and could cast the spell, albeit a bit slow.
He now needed to go to Ancient Capital soon and was preparing for that. Cao Guang hoped to improve his Summoning element to the Advanced level as well before the trials got underway.
The national trials to form the team for the World College tournament would begin in late January. He already had three votes and a provincial place in the team. He needed one more vote which he could gain if he won the qualifiers with Pearl Institute.
