Cao Guang took the first plane to Magic City he could find, because today was the day. He was finally going to attempt to break through to the Advanced level.
He believed that he had more than the qualifications for it and now he was going to use up the time he had in three step tower to do so. He felt the day was better for a break through in this element and got into the tower as soon as he could.
Three step tower obeyed the laws of magic as well. In the morning the presence of fire and light elements were more and this reversed to shadow in the nights and also differed with various weather phenomenon like Lightning, rain and storms.
The three step tower only concentrated existing Elemental energy to an enclosed area with the help of space magic. It didn't create energy or bring forth more than what existed.
Cao reached the fourth Fire element layer in the tower, the pressure on his body was immense, he could barely stay upright, this level was not meant to be for Intermediate mages. With any luck it wouldn't be meant for him either.
Cao Guang took three steps with difficulty and sat down and closed his eyes for meditation.
He focused on the Fire Nebula, the spiritual energy there was constantly striking against the barrier that held every star in place under will. It was about to get a lot more painful.
The Little Tora pendant shined itself as if could recognise it's owner's thoughts and wanted to help out, but the energy it could promote was about ten percent of what was already present in his Nebula.
He took out an oval shaped object the size of a pigeon's egg from a box in his pocket. The inconspicuous little thing held a lot of energy.
Cao Guang used the method required to draw energy from the Galaxy Vein and sent his energy into it to draw it out. As the pure and unfiltered energy filled the Star Nebula, Cao Guang winced himself in pain and the pressure exerted by him on the barrier increased.
He then started actively guiding the spiritual energy to strike the barrier instead of being a passive observer as slowly more energy left the Galaxy Vein.
This process went on for another half an hour as the pain increase ld exponentially for him. Many times he felt he was going to fail and the energy wasn't enough, but the Galaxy Vein held steady at it's output and when seventy percent of it was drained the spiritual energy overwhelmed the barrier between the levels.
Cao Guang broke through to the advanced level as forty nine stars now actively multiplied themselves to form 294 more. His Fire Nebula had finally become a Star Galaxy. From that moment on he was no longer a mage in the bottom ranks.
In cities like Bo, An Advanced mage was already the pinnacle figure, a leader of people. Even among demon beasts the Commander level was a turning point.
Above all he could now awaken two more elements now that he decided to not use the Blood Sarira. The stars settled themselves after expanding but they weren't stable yet.
The Galaxy Vein still held some energy so Cao Guang focused himself for that. It probably wouldn't be enough to stabilize the Star Galaxy but it could help. He realised the help provided by a fourth tier Nebula and third tier Nebula was vastly different. The former was easier to break through with.
This was probably by virtue of the spiritual energy held by it, a fourth tier Nebula had been cultivated frurther from a third tier one with 49 Minion level Soul Essences, this would become a permanent increase in quality.
Suddenly he could feel the help provided by the Galaxy Vein and the three step tower perceivably decrease as their efficacy fell.
The Advanced level was a different territory and needed him to find new resource and avenues for almost everything. It was also the level where a good mage and a great mage was differentiated.
Soul seeds, innate talents, magic equipment everything from here was a prelude to the finale and he had reached the realm before his twenty first birthday.
Getting any resource he needed now was going to cost atleast a hundred million now. Galaxy veins were the cheapest, he needed to optimise his money making skills. He had become a Master Hunter after toiling among the Undead for six months.
With this connection he could find new resource and information now. Overall it was the beginning of something special.
