Lin Mu called the name of the next challenger on stage as students of other institutes called them barbarians and recorded everything.
It was the third opponent Cao Guang had faced after Nanrong Xu, Cao Guang now needed a rest to recover his strength and decided to separate from the Flame Belle and decided to let her handle the next few challengers.
Cao Guang needed to rotate between the three and would start facing challengers upwards of one fifty.
Most of the students weren't strong enough to fight against Warrior level beasts yet, the top twenty of the institute were better. They had the qualifications to do so. Only none of them were strong enough to do it alone.
Lin Mu found a great opportunity to train them, when he stopped thinking of Cao Guang as an arrogant brat and recognised his strength.
In exchange for his efforts, Lin Mu would tell him where he could find a Galaxy Vein in the wild. Galaxy Veins were pricy stuff and he needed atleast four of those in the future.
He could barely afford them in the future along with Fenrir's and Little Flame Belle's evolution resources. They both needed to become Commanders and that would put him back at least a couple billion.
Although there were promising news from the Company that was researching on the defensive equipment using Purple Demon crests they were still one year away from concrete results.
His assistant Lin Feng had already spent the two billion to buy about two hundred and eighty five thousand demon Crests at seven thousand on per piece on average.
His expenses were going to exponentially increase and needed some sounding out. In other news Clergyman Song Qiming had retired from the Holy Judgement Court as the backlash from executing Wen Tai faded.
He had been in a semi retired state for a while and been spotted at Clearsky Agency by Cao Guang, but now the guy was officially retired.
Flame Belle was huffing and panting as the fiftieth opponent lost as well drawing a sigh from the audience. The other students who were just mocking the lightning institute before had gotten serious as well now.
Cao Guang had defeated fifty intermediate mages in succession. Of course without his Summoning element it would have been easy as it was.
An advancing Warrior could take on these many mages one on one, he had a shot at winning the battles, but it was time for him to fold and give the lightning institute the impression that they had defeated a great demon King.
Soon however, they would realise that it took fifty of them to defeat him and under the mocking of other students, they would probably be even more psyched to train better.
" I concede"
Cao Guang shamelessly conceded the match much to the fury of the lightning institute.
" Damn it, he was close to loosing another match and we could have defeated him ourselves"
" Don't run away you chicken"
" Come back here demon Cao"
Cao Guang made a gesture to Lin Mu as he declared the end of the Challenge and send the students back for self reflection with a 500 hundred word essay.
Cao Guang could not stop smirking when he heard that last part. These pure students had no clue that their teacher was in on it.
He went up to Lin Mu after the match in the lounge of the arena as the lightning institute was getting trolled for loosing fifty consecutive matches against the rank one.
Cao Guang earned some more time in the three step tower but paused his visit as no new break through was imminent.
"This is the information you want" said Lin Mu handing a folder to Cao Guang.
"This is, I bought this information at the Zhao family's auction in Shanghai. I already have this information"
"Who do you think sold it to them? Moreover look to the last page that's what you are looking for"
" I didn't know that's why they formed a tide every year. How did you find out teacher?"
"My Hunting group followed the beasts last year, I found a Galaxy Vein there and promoted my Quartenary element to the Advanced level."
" How many of these beasts could be present this June?"
" A couple thousand at least"
Cao Guang dreaded at the thought of facing a couple thousand Warrior level Viscera Hunters in a bay area. He didn't manage to kill thirty six of these Warriors with two peak Intermediate mages and three Warriors to help him and now he had to face a couple thousand for a chance at a Galaxy Vein.
