Cao Guang went to Hengsha Island after collecting all information he could on Viscera Hunters. The Southern point of the island has the highest rates of sighting a Viscera Hunter in or near Shanghai.
Viscera Hunters looked remarkably similar to octopuses except they had claws at the end of their tentacles and hooks at the end of the claws and scales protecting the upper torso.
Viscera Hunters also had a knock off version of beasts called Sea Hook Black Beasts who looked quite similar but were just at the Minion level.
Cao Guang needed an isolated Viscera Hunter or a small pack ideally. At the same time he wasn't strong enough to go beyond the shallow water area.
Any depth upto two hundred metres was considered shallow waters, between two hundred and a thousand it was intermediate waters and between a thousand and three thousand metres it was deep sea areas.
The shallow waters only supressed some elements to a small degree compared to the others. Sea monsters had a lot less cover to hide and water to use for magical attacks.
Cao Guang went to the southern point of Hengsha Island as it filled both conditions shallow waters and a small pack of Viscera Hunters. Even then he didn't plan on fighting these monsters as a pack on his own.
This information had only costed him a hundred thousand as the market for Viscera Hunters were dominated by Advanced mages and they would not waste time with just a small pack and leave for the military.
On his way he had observed the military mages splitting in to smaller squads to eliminate the various packs of Viscera Hunters who had made their way dangerously close to civilization after the heavy waves of yesterday.
Cao Guang observed beneath the dangerously small cliff he was standing and barely made out a dozen pair of eyes looking at him like prey.
Cao Guang observed his surroundings and found no stable land to fight the Viscera Hunters, putting him in an even worser situation. He had to be creative at this point and casted a simple Stardust as a silver light appeared in his eyes.
Telekinesis Illusory Claw
Viscera Hunters were not heay creature and he could lift up to a hundred kilograms with his Mental Strength and fourth tier spell. He singled out a more obvious Viscera Hunter and dragged it forcefully to the land.
The effort had left him a bit disoriented and reeling from a pain in his head. Thankfully his daughter was there to apply pressure on the creature.
The sea monsters were three to five times stronger than land monsters of the same level when they were in the water but out of it they were just as weak.
Cao Guang joined his 49 stars and prepared a spell he wanted to try for a long time.
Fiery Fist Nine Dragons
Cao Guang mentally controlled what was supposed to be Nine Palaces to form nine dragons and hit the Viscera Hunter that was literally an ant on a hot wok.
The Flame Belle would not let it turn left or right as Cao Guang prepared his spell. He had even gone as far as to not use the Prairie Flames in case his spell was too strong for the beast to take it.
The nine dragons roasted the monster alive as it wafted a enamouring aroma. Cao Guang quickly doused the fire use Telekinesis and harvested the beasts organs. He looked over the cliff to see none of the Viscera Hunters there any longer.
They were still there, yet the weight of the water they were hiding under prevented him from dragging them out. Cao left to find another Viscera Hunter pack as he noticed the military coming over to his side.
He had exhausted that vein, and needed another.
He traveled on Fenrir to save time and find another pair of Viscera Hunters before the military killed all of them. He found another Sandy beach nearby, except there were sounds of battle coming from behind a cliff.
On his way over he noticed pools of blood and organs of humans rather than Viscera Hunters. Naturally some squad had screwed up and gotten themselves almost exterminated.
Viscera Hunters were so called because they thrived on the fear of living beings when the harvested their Viscera without killing them first. The beasts then ate the viscera in front of their victims and moved on to others. They only fed on Viscera and therefore usually had followers like Sea Hook Black Beasts who specialised in scavenging anything left behind by them.
