"Juliet give me my tablet" Daniel screamed as he and Juliet ran into the kitchen running in circles.
"Catch me if you can" She teased as she dribbled him. They weren't as little as they used to be before. Daniel and Juliet were both eleven years old while Judith was eight years.
"Mummy look at Juliet, she's looking for my trouble ooo" A frustrated Daniel reported to his mum who was busy slicing vegetables for dinner.
"Juliet give him his iPad and the both of you should leave here. How many times have I told you that the kitchen is not a playing ground? Leave here". Their father who was peeling yams said. Juliet reluctantly handed it over as they left the kitchen.
"This children and their problems" Jasmine sighed.
"Well get ready because we're about to have another one" He said pointing at her protruding tummy.
Jasmine couldn't help smiling. It's been five years since they got married and he has been an amazing husband and father. She got pregnant and was super excited when she found out it was a boy. Daniel was going to have a brother after all..
"You really don't have to do anything. Go and lie down let me handle everything"
"No, I'm pregnant not handicap. You barely let me do anything. Don't you know it's good for a pregnant woman to move around and work often?
"Well if you insist" He shrugged in defeat.
"I insist" She replied planting a kiss on cheek.
She looked at her man and couldn't believe it. She was happy, like genuinely happy and her peace knew no bounds. If someone told her eight years before that she would be this happy, she wouldn't have believed it.
She had settled for misery and pain before the unimaginable tragedy of divorce struck. She thought her life was over and that she would never recover. She never knew there was a bright light waiting at the end of the dark tunnel.
She silently thanked the universeand her mum who helped her pull through.
The end.
