Chapter 51 - Chapter 51: Stones and Dream

"It's not a musical instrument; it's a weapon. You load an arrow here and shoot," Senju clarified, demonstrating the use of the bow to the two.

However, after observing the demonstration, Yuuri expressed her displeasure. "Ugh, it seems like so much hassle. Can't I just have a gun?"

"Exactly. Bows seem like relics of the past compared to guns."

"Don't be depressed, at least this one is beautiful and still shining," Chito's comfort was completely out of place.

After Senju explained the correct use of the bow, the two lost interest in this thing.

This thing is currently useless now, so they asked Senju to put it away.

After Senju put it away, he looked at the two people's harvest.

There were a lot of messy things inside, "What did you find? Didn't you find food or something?"

"No, it's all empty around here, but Yuuri managed to find a few glass containers. We can use these for burning," Chito noted, surveying their surroundings.

"Ah, we'll need to gather some materials for burning, but be cautious when handling those glass containers," Chito added, emphasizing the need for care.

After Senju packed up these things, the three moved on.

However, after searching for the next few days, everyone still found nothing useful, so Chito decided to speed up and leave here.

After a few days of travel, the three of them left the residential buildings and came to a ruins, which was full of messy buildings and rubble. It seemed that there were a lot of usable things.

The three of them searched inside, and Senju also took the opportunity to collect blocks.

The buildings here had already collapsed, and Senju easily used them to turn them into usable blocks.

But after searching for a while, the three of them sat on a high platform to eat. After eating, Yuuri became a little bored and played with piles of stones.

"Hey, everyone, come over and play together," Yuuri called the two next to her after playing for a while.

"Yuu, what are you doing?"

"Let's see who can build the tallest pile of rocks," Yuuri challenged, pointing to a stone pillar behind her already heaped with debris.

Senju, eager to show his skill, swiftly gathered a cluster of blocks and began stacking them up.

However, the two beside him promptly crossed their arms in unison. "No fair, Senju. The next round will be decided by just the two of us."

"Hey, how did it turn out like this?" Senju, ousted for his earlier cheating, could only watch from the sidelines as the other two collected heaps of gravel and constructed their own stacks.

But instead of building two stone pillars, they built one stone pillar.

With the rule that the one causing the collapse would be deemed the loser, Chito consistently built her stack to great heights, only for a sudden gust of wind to invariably lead to Yuuri emerging victorious.

"Ahh! Hey, you caused it to fall just now!" Chito exclaimed as the stone pillar toppled, clutching onto Yuuri beside her. Yuuri feigned innocence, saying, "It must have been the wind."

Amused by the scene, Senju chuckled, but Chito seemed unwilling to accept defeat. "Darn it, it was so close to staying upright."

"Is this my tenth consecutive win? Want to keep going?" Yuuri teased, goading Chito into another round. Chito eagerly accepted, saying, "Alright, let's have another go."

"Hey, do you want to bet a piece of food for tomorrow morning?"

"No! You will just cheat by blowing air again!"

"I never blew it."

Seeing that the two of them still arguing, Senju felt sleepy. After building a house, he fell asleep there.

When he woke up in the morning, he found that Chito and Yuuri was cuddling him.

He was bewildered and slightly red due to how close the two was, after a few seconds he took a deep breath and woke them up.

They woke up, albeit still sleepy.

He took out some food from his inventory and prepared a table for them to eat.

While distributing the food, Senju noticed Chito reluctantly passing breakfast to Yuuri, who consumed it with a broad grin, leaving Chito clenching her teeth in frustration.

Senju considered offering Chito a portion, but hesitated, mindful of Yuuri's watchful gaze.

After packing up their belongings, the three of them continued on the road.

However, after walking for a while, the two of them began to yawn profusely, and Chito almost drove the car into the ruins nearby.

After the car stopped, Chito swayed in front, and so did Yuuri behind.

"Ah -" Chito yawned, then lay on the front of the car, "I'm so sleepy, take a rest, rest..."

"Are you okay? How late did you guys sleep last night?" Senju looked at the two confused people with some worry.

"We accidentally stayed up too late last night because the lights around us were too bright."

"Yeah, and I was in high spirits last night."

"Do you both need to rest? We should find a place to take a break for a while," Senju suggested.

Then the three of them got out of the car and found a flat platform.

After laying out blankets, Chito and Yuuri fell asleep on it.

The sunshine in the sky happened to shine here.

After the two of them covered themselves with blankets, they fell asleep fast.

While the two were sleeping, Senju was collecting suitable things nearby.

After collecting for a while, he dug a puddle next to the two and fished there.

Meanwhile, as Senju fished, Chito's mumbled words behind him indicated she was talking in her sleep, "Is it shaking? Earthquake?"

It seemed her dream depicted a scene where the ground trembled, "Whoa, what's happening?" suggesting a departure from the ordinary landscape.

In her dream, Chito found herself perched atop a heap of stacked stones, feeling the ground beneath her feet quiver as if on the brink of collapse.

Just when she was feeling scared, the voices of Yuuri and Senju came from beside her, "Chii-chan, Chii-chan."

Chito turned around in surprise, then froze, "Yuu? Senju?"

"Are you okay?" A huge Yuuri appeared next to her, and on the other side was a pile of square stones stacked up by Senju.

"It's so big" Chito just marveled when she saw the giant Yuuri walking over.

The shock was also transmitted, and the stones under her feet shook. "Whoa! Idiot!Don't move."

After a bout of shaking, Chito managed to steady herself, cautioning Yuuri, "Hey, be careful. It's dangerous, so don't create any more gusts."

It appeared Yuuri had been blowing on the stone pillar, causing Chito to wobble once again. "Oh no, Senju, can you please get Yuu to stop?" Chito pleaded as she regained her footing.

Then she saw the square Senju slowly jumping from the side one by one. Yuuri on the side was a little curious, "Why are you shaking?"

"You bastard," Chito glared at the huge Yuuri, "Listen to me, be careful not to move at all."

"Hey" Yuuri then blew Chito off the stone platform with a burst of air. Looking at Chito's appearance, Yuuri felt happy, "Hahahahaha, it's so funny."

"You bastard, I'll remember this!" Chito shouted, and she fell off the stone platform.
