Chapter 1 - Prologue

The constellations formed a brilliant tapestry adorning the dark blue canvas of the night sky. Yet, within the tranquil and silent heavens, the ceaseless clash of waves resounded. Verdant forests, once teeming with ancient trees, vanished instantly, devoured by the frigid embrace of untold millions of gallons of water. Mountains that once appeared to pierce the very heavens now appeared trivial, their summits reachable by anyone brave enough to swim through the tumultuous seas. It was a world where stars danced, waves thundered, and the very earth trembled in the face of an awe-inspiring and terrifying fantasy.

The perpetual celestial deluge pressed on, its rhythm changing in sync with the shifting lunar phases. Amid this enigmatic cataclysm, a colossal vessel boldly cut through the tumultuous waves. The ark swayed. Despite the tumultuous waters, its sheer size dwarfed the mightiest mountains, making them seem like small coral reefs in comparison.

The sky suddenly cloaked itself in ominous clouds, and the stars, once gleaming, were swiftly veiled by the thunderous storm clouds, illuminated by flashes of lightning. The fierce winds howled, creating a symphony of eerie sounds in competition with the roaring waves. The sea grew more tumultuous, shaking the colossal ark as though it were weightless.

Yet, this was far from the zenith of the mystery. Enormous tentacles ascended suddenly from the abyssal depths, shrouding the colossal ark in the shadow of even larger, enigmatic appendages. Not a solitary tentacle, but dozens, as if the ark had been ensnared and enshrouded, imprisoned in a nightmare.

A maelstrom of water materialized beneath the colossal ark, and a dread-inducing entity ascended from the depths. Its silhouette, shrouded in malevolent obscurity, held an insidious power – the mere sight of which could plunge any living soul into a nightmarish abyss of horror, their very existence teetering on the precipice of doom.

The ark violently lurched, yet the mysterious entity persisted, its numerous tentacles ensnaring the vessel. However, the colossal vessel endured, fearless despite the terrifying, eldritch horror. As the tempest intensified, the mysterious entity's innumerable appendages crushed the colossal ark – wood shattered. Metallic fragments and splintered timber collided with the tumultuous waves, sinking instantly. Fragments of mysterious arcane equipment descended into the depths, devoured by the abysmal depths.

Yet, in the blink of an eye, it all dissolved, shrouding everything in an inky void, akin to a mysterious scene shift in an otherworldly tale. Upon awakening, the only vista that met the gaze was a timeworn, timbered ceiling, riddled with gaps and hollows – a sure sign that this was no luxurious domain of the wealthy elite.

As he awoke, the young boy gasped for breath, his face drenched in perspiration that trickled down like tears. His long hair, cascading like a woman's on both sides, brushed against his shoulders. It was the ebony hue of his eyes, slightly paler than his hair, that marked his distinctive appearance. The rustic wooden bed, bereft of a mattress, offered him no comfort upon waking. Meanwhile, in the hush of his chamber, he could hear the pounding of his heart with an intensity that bordered on the enigmatic while sitting on his bed.

"Leyner, have you woke up?" a voice cried from outside his room. Yes, his name was Leyner. But who was calling him? It was a gentle voice, not much different from a child of his age. However, Leyner didn't respond; he seemed perplexed by his dream.

"Hey, why aren't you answering me?" A girl stood before the doorless door frame. She placed her hands on her hips and wore an annoyed expression. The girl appeared a few years older than our main character, sharing the same hair and eye colour, and their faces bore a striking resemblance. Perhaps the only noticeable difference between them was their height, with the older sister standing a bit taller than her brother.

However, there was no response from her younger brother. He gazed blankly at the floor, and the only sound in his mind was the echoing rhythm of his own heartbeat.

His older sister's concern turned into a rising sense of urgency. "Are you alright? Answer me, Leyner!" She dashed towards her brother, clutching his shoulders with a fierce grip, her eyes locked onto his. She shook his body vigorously, desperately trying to snap him out of it.

Leyner's pupils shrank, his heart racing in response to his sister's escalating panic. With a sudden jolt of fear, he made a reflexive attempt to free himself from her grip.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to ignore you earlier, Rivele" Leyner replied, but his voice still carried the tremors of his unease. It was as if he were in the grip of fear.

"Are you okay? Did you have that same dream again?" His sister, named Rivele, inquired with a worried expression, as Leyner was the only family she had left, and her concern for him was palpable.

"Yeah... It was the same dream," Leyner replied in a hushed tone.

Hearing that, his sister immediately embraced him. "Don't worry, we'll find a cure for it," she reassured.

"....Y-yeah."
