Third Person's POV
The next morning...
Chloe got up early in the morning like always. She was still mad at Tyson for last night's intruding in her room. She was thinking about how to get back at him when Tyler came to her room.
"You are up already? I thought I would find you sleeping like a princess," Tyler teased her with a wink. Chloe's sour mood lightens up after seeing Tyler. His friendly and easy-going character can make any girl happy.
'Maybe that's why he was famous as a playboy, girls swoon over him,' Chloe thought.
"Too shame, you are not a prince!" Chloe teased him.
"Ouch!"Tyler bent his waist and pretended to get hurt, that's not what I want to hear from a lady like you."
"But you are hot," Chloe pretends to give him a serious body check, "an eye-candy for sure."She couldn't help but burst out a laugh.
Tyler deeply looked into her eyes, and said, "What should I do to you."That was really a tone of affection, Chloe felt her blush.
"I'm delighted to see you finally laugh."He said, "I was worried." Chloe was so moved by his words.
"Maybe that is because I found a knight."
"For killing the rogues for you?"
"Yeah, and for giving me such a wonderful place to sleep," Chloe said, she was so thankful that she met Tyler.
"Then maybe you need by me an armor."They both laughed when Tyler said that. It was the first time Chloe was talking openly after she got banished by her father. Tyler felt relieved that Chloe was getting along with him. Though he didn't want to admit it he had some special feelings for Chloe and he wanted to protect her from everyone.
"The breakfast is ready, join us. You will like it," Tyler said. Though Chloe didn't want to have breakfast with others she couldn't say "no" to Tyler.
"Let's go, I am dying of hunger," Chloe smiled sweetly. Tyler pulled Chloe with him by her hand and started telling her different stories about their pack house while moving to the dining hall.
At the dining hall…
Tyson was sitting at the end of the long table. There were two big chairs for the two alphas of this pack. He was waiting for Tyler when he heard the sound of giggling followed by footsteps. When he looked at the dining hall entrance, his eyes fell on the joining hands of Tyler and Chloe. His blood started boiling and a growl came out of his throat unconsciously.
Chloe shivered when hearing the loud warning growl but was annoyed when she found it was Tyson.
"What's wrong with you? It's impolite when we have a guest," Tyler smiled at Tyson and pulled a chair beside his for Chloe. Tyson seemed unaffected by his words and kept chewing his toast. Chloe glanced at Tyson's cold bloodshot eyes from the corner of her eyes before taking her seat beside Tyler. Chloe was nervous to sit beside Tyler. She was afraid that Tyson would bring the incidents of last night in front of Tyler and she didn't want that. Fortunately, Tyson didn't bring up that topic but he wasn't going to leave her alone to eat peacefully.
"What happened to you, Tyler? Have you forgotten our pack rules? You have started to bring anyone to eat with the alphas?" Tyson complained looking at Chloe with despise. Chloe felt insulted and was about to leave the table but Tyler stopped her.
"She's not anyone, Tyson. She's my guest and now a member of our pack and a guest can eat with the alphas," Tyler said and forced Chloe to sit back. Tyson just scoffed at them pulled out his mobile started scrolling through it while eating his food.
Tyler started serving food on Chloe's plate; he was trying to ease the tension between Chloe and Tyson but it made Tyson angrier for some unknown reason. Tyson couldn't see Chloe getting closer to Tyler. The only thought of it made him mad at them.
"What are you waiting for? Start eating, the food is getting cold," Tyler urged Chloe who was just staring at the food in front of her. Chloe shook her head slightly and put a bite in her mouth secretly staring at Tyson. But it didn't go unnoticed by Tyler.
"What's the reason for your sudden mood change? Are you angry at Tyson? I can see you staring at him angrily" Tyler whispered to Chloe.
"Your brother is a monster. Don't mention his name in front of me," Chloe warned him whispering angrily. Tyler laughed at her outburst. She was looking cute in anger.
"So, you hate my brother? Did something happen between you that I don't know? Why is he always angry around you?" Tyler started teasing Chloe and soon both of them were giggling and badmouthing about Tyson. Both of them totally forgot about the existence of Tyson who was hearing everything and was ready to murder anyone at this moment.
THUD!!!!!!!
Tyson suddenly slapped on the table making a loud noise to draw the attention of the two giggling persons in front of him.
"Since Tyler brought you here and he wants you to stay here then it's time to give you a job in this pack. No one can stay here for free and take advantage of their relationships," Tyson said gritting his teeth, eyes fixed on Chloe. But what made him amazed was that Chloe didn't flinch but looked straight into his eyes. Tyler also was curious to know what arrangement Tyson made for Chloe.
"Since we don't know about your previous pack, rank, or status I would assume you are a rogue," Tyson paused and smirked at Chloe. At that moment Chloe knew that he had some evil plans in his mind.
"So you will start working as a slave in the pack house. You will do whatever I ask you to do," Tyson finished and waited for Chloe's reaction but nothing came from her except the angry look on her face.
"You can't do this to her. She's my guest you can't make her your slave," Tyler disagreed with his decision as expected by Tyson. But instead of making a decision, he just waiting for Tyson's next words.
"If you want to keep her as your guest then she can stay here for two days and then she has to leave the pack. A guest cannot live here more than two days," Tyson replied in a calm but cold voice. Tyler was speechless cause he wanted to keep Chloe with him, at least not for just two days.
He still needed time to figure out whose baby was Chloe carrying and what feelings he had for Chloe
"Okay then, give her some easy job, not a slave," Tyler proposed. He must follow the pack rules as an alpha but he couldn't let her be a slave so it was wise to find an easier job for her.
"Why do you want to save her always?" Tyson asked leaving Tyler off guard but what he said next made Tyler surprised.
"Okay, she will be our personal assistant, be responsible for all our trivial and personal work. But she cannot interfere in the matters of the pack," Tyson said with determination.
"She will be my personal assistant," Tyler again defied Tyson making him angrier. Tyson came closer to Tyler in anger.
"Give me a reason why you want her to be your personal assistant," Tyson asked Tyler making Chloe scared. She was afraid that with Tyson's continuous nagging, Tyler would disclose the secret of their one-night stand. So she didn't give Tyler the chance to say anything and spoke up first.
"I agree," Chloe said standing up from her chair. She looked directly into Tyson's eyes challenging him then continued, "I agree to be both of the alphas' personal assistants in the pack house and do every work I would be asked to do." Chloe stated she didn't want to embarrass Tyler in front of his brother.
Tyson raised his eyebrows when heard what Chloe said, and he looked at his brother as if he was expected to see his brother's embarrassment.
Tyler was shocked and kept staring at Chloe who would give in so easily, he thought she was an alpha blood.
"That's final then," Tyson left saying that not waiting for Tyler to say something. Chloe saw an evil smirk on his lips while he left. The unusual smile on Tyson's face didn't escape from Tyler's eyes either.
"Why did you agree to this? You shouldn't have agreed with him, I can't let him torture you," Tyler said desperately.
"I can handle it. All my life I was dependent on my father and saw what it cost me. I don't want to depend on someone anymore," Chloe said with a faint smile.
Only if she knew what was awaiting her or what Tyson was planning for her.
