The school wasn't crowded because it was class time and all of the students were in their own classes. Yeonjun was taking a stroll near the school. He took the address from Arin and came here. Arin was hesitating at first, but she was also curious if Soobin was really doing okay. So, without any other choices, Arin told Yeonjun the way of the school. Yeonjun acted it was fine if he didn't get to see Soobin, but deep inside, he wanted to rush over there as soon as he got the address. He stopped walking when he heard the school bell ringing. He looked at the gate from where students started to come out of the institution. He wanted to run towards the school gate but he restrained himself from doing it, because it'd be inconvenient for him and all other students. So, he kept waiting outside, stucking his eyes around the students. Unfortunately, he couldn't find the boy he was trying to see. Though he felt a bit down, he didn't give up. He kept searching while the amount of the students were reducing slowly.
"Did I miss him? No way, right? None of the students stood out as much as him. So there's no way I missed him." Yeonjun was thinking. He thought he came to the wrong school so he rechecked the location again. But he found he came to the right place. So, when there were just a very few students coming out of the gate, Yeonjun felt anxious. "Did he not come to school?" Yeonjun wondered.
"Ah! I should've kept his phone number that day!" He mumbled. When there were no students coming out, Yeonjun almost gave up his hope of seeing Soobin. He thought he should just go back to the bakery and take Soobin's home address so that he could go to meet him. He took another round of stroll and when he was coming in front of the gate, he saw the back which made him lose himself since he first saw it. But there were some other boys walking with him too. Yeonjun thought they were his friends. Although Yeonjun wanted to go and start a conversation with Soobin, he stopped himself as he thought it wouldn't be a good idea to pop up out of nowhere in front of his friends. So, he started following them though his intentions weren't too good. He wanted to find where Soobin lives so that he can visit him later. He wanted to hear Soobin's voice but he was a bit far from them. That's why, he couldn't hear anything from their conversation. He was planning to meet Soobin once his friends leave.
"Why're you guys following me? I told you, it wasn't my fault!" Soobin was saying to the boys who almost surrounded him while walking.
"Oh, you think we'd believe that?" A boy asked and wrapped his hand around Soobin's shoulder. If anyone sees them from outside, they'd definitely have a wrong idea of them being good friends. Soobin tried to free himself but he couldn't. The boy dragged him closer and pressed on his neck tightly.
"Say it! Say it to us! What you told Minnie! We might fall for you as well, right guys!" He looked at others and everyone started laughing while agreeing with him.
"I told you! I didn't talk much with her! And I didn't know she was your girlfriend!" Soobin tried to take the hand off of his shoulder. He was getting strangled by the boy and it was hurting him.
"Oh! I wonder if you knew she was my girlfriend, then what would you do?" He pressed harder and Soobin was having a hard time breathing as well as his neck was hurting very much.
Yeonjun was quietly following them when he saw them go inside a small alley. It was a very narrow road. Suddenly, Yeonjun got a call from his subordinate and he needed to pick up the call. Yeonjun stopped there and thought he'd follow the boys again after hung up the call. When he put his phone back and raised his head up, he saw other boys were coming out of the alley. But he couldn't see Soobin. Did Soobin leave? Yeonjun was afraid that he lost Soobin once again. He got mad at himself again because he blamed himself for not following them into the alley. He was confused for a while about what he should do.
Should he call Arin and get Soobin's house address? Or should he go to the bakery because Soobin will show up there eventually. Yeonjun was itching his head because he was too frustrated. He was hesitating to call Arin and that's why he sent a text to her, asking about the address. He didn't know if he did the right thing. When he was hesitating about what he should do, all the other boys left laughingly. Seems like they did something really enjoyable.
Yeonjun went to the alley though he didn't know why he was going there himself. But what he saw after going there, made him completely astounded. He never could imagine he'd see something like that.
Soobin was sitting on the ground, leaning on a wall just like a dead person. There were several bruises and marks on his hand. Yeonjun couldn't see Soobin's face at first because all he could see was his messy hair. Yeonjun went to Soobin. He was trembling out of fear. He couldn't think much anymore. He knelt down before Soobin and held his shoulder.
"Hey! S-Soobin! W-what happened to y-you?" Yeonjun was stuttering. But when he noticed there was no response from Soobin, he got more afraid.
"H-hey! D-Don't be like this!" Yeonjun shook his shoulder while Soobin finally tried to look above but his body didn't support him anymore. He closed his eyes while drooping on the ground. Yeonjun held his head quickly and noticed that the left side of his forehead was bleeding.
"B-Blood! S-Soobin! O-open your e-eyes! W-who did this to y-you? T-those friends of y-yours? W-what kind of game were you guys playing? C-come on! W-wake up!" Yeonjun's hands were shaking and because of that he lost his strength as well. But when he thought Soobin needed to be hospitalized, he carried Soobin like a princess even though he was a little heavy to be carried. He walked out of the alley and without waiting for a taxi or any vehicles, he started walking. After a while, he saw a taxi coming to them and went in front of it. Finally, the taxi stopped near them and gave them a lift.
