Chapter 62
Tears welled up in Lux's eyes as he waited for the results of the resident doctor's examination in a relatively unknown hospital in Manila, which had just recently been established.
The doctor was a male, but he didn't care. He leaned against the wall and, to be honest, he was waiting for a text from Heart. He couldn't understand why he felt no joy about Diana's sudden pregnancy—sudden pregnancy, take note. He was suppressing inappropriate thoughts about her pregnancy, and he wondered if he might be the actual father, feeling a tremendous guilt for their child due to the confusing thoughts running through his mind.
The doctor exited the room, and Lux stood up.
"Mr. Montesalvo, right?" the man asked.
This guy looked damn familiar.
"Yes."
"I'm Doctor Christian Mayor. Your baby is safe."
"Thank God," he breathed a sigh of relief.
