Chereads / Doomsday, Let's Open A Restaurant / Chapter 26 - Hostility

Chapter 26 - Hostility

Judging from the prices, the system's given prices are exorbitant! Unknowingly, I even increased them by an additional 20%. Fortunately, there's no one from the Food and Drug Administration to supervise. Otherwise, my restaurant would have been sealed for sure!

"Okay okay"

"Three hundred times twenty is six thousand"

...

After some calculations with the calculator, the final cost was a total of 26,000 energy.

Adding the commission for Li Fei, the total cost is over 26,000.

"Wow! That's a lot!"

Xiao Feng handed over the 26,000 energy.

"This is your commission!"

Then, Xiao Feng gave another 2,600 energy.

"This... so much?"

Li Fei was surprised, earning over 2,600 energy for this trip was beyond his imagination.

"Boss Is it too much?"

"What's too much?"

Xiao Feng acted a little upset.

"Your crew doesn't need to worry about food! I'm telling you, when you help me with business in the future, there will be benefits for you guys. You can take these bonuses and share some with your brothers!"

"Brother! You're the best!"

Li Fei tightly shook Xiao Feng's hand and expressed his gratitude.

"Rest assured, in the future, whatever you need, me and my brothers will be there for you."

"With your word, I'm at ease!"

Xiao Feng nodded with a smile.

People like Li Fei are the kind who can be swayed easily when given enough benefits. Plus, Xiao Feng believes that in the future, there won't be many opportunities for Li Fei to make so much. Why? Because Xiao Feng chose to give him the bonus money in front of everyone.

Why do it in front of so many people? It's to let others see that there are tremendous benefits in helping him run this business. In the future, Xiao Feng is confident that many people will hunt and kill mutant beasts secretly and then quietly bring them to him. With competition, the bonuses he offers will naturally be under his control.

Happy with his bonus, Li Fei left the restaurant with everyone. After watching them depart, Xiao Feng immediately closed the door and then went to the adjacent building's rooftop from the backyard.

However, all the neighboring buildings were three stories high, and he couldn't see further from there. He looked at the office building across the street and the adjacent luxury hotel, thinking, "If only I could get to the rooftop of the building across."

If he could reach the top of the building opposite, Xiao Feng would be able to observe all the activities in Yu Lin City at any time. Li Fei just mentioned that people from Shelter No. 1 were flying here. So, Xiao Feng wanted to know what they were up to.

With this thought in mind, Xiao Feng brought An An toward the building across the street. An An was a Tier 3 zombie, and her presence was quite intimidating to other zombies.

Lower-tier zombies didn't dare to approach. With An An, Xiao Feng easily reached the rooftop of the adjacent building. Standing on a rooftop over ten stories high, Xiao Feng looked around, taking in the panoramic view of Yu Lin City.

At this moment, four black dots suddenly appeared in the sky. As they moved closer, they took on a recognizable form in Xiao Feng's eyes.

The four black dots were, indeed, four helicopters. Seeing this, Xiao Feng immediately climbed down and closely observed the helicopters through the scope of his Barrett rifle. As he suspected, they were here for him.

Two of the helicopters landed on the rooftop of the adjacent office building, and the other two landed in the street in front of his restaurant. When the helicopters touched down, roughly ten heavily armed individuals disembarked. These people were fully armed and carried firearms, and in the center of their group was a man in a suit. In the midst of the apocalypse, seeing someone in a suit who maintained a clean and respectable appearance was truly unexpected.

Xiao Feng quickly returned to the restaurant with An An through the back yard. He heard a series of knocks on the door.

Bang, bang, bang!

The knocking continued, and Xiao Feng overheard their discussion.

"Vice Director, what if they don't open the door? Should we break it down?"

"Keep knocking!"

A stern voice filled with authority was heard.

"This person dares to open a restaurant in the fallen city of Yu Lin. We still don't know his strength and background. For now, let's maintain a polite attitude."

Bang, bang, bang!

The knocking continued.

"Who is it?" Xiao Feng shouted loudly, pretending to be annoyed.

"Someone is inside!"

"How did he survive in this sea of zombies? And with this level of defense, he won't be able to withstand the zombie attacks!"

Whispers and discussions could be heard outside.

Xiao Feng turned back towards them without looking and casually said, "Come on in, let's talk!"

The man in the suit stepped forward, and the soldiers blocking the entrance immediately made way. Stepping into the restaurant, he was met with astonishment.

The restaurant was neatly arranged and the environment was clean and tidy. Even compared to the high-ranking officials' accommodations in the First Shelter, it seemed that this place was even cleaner.

The small blackboard at the entrance with its written content caught the suit-wearing man's attention. After reading it, he couldn't help but feel more curious about Xiao Feng.

"Surviving in this environment with such an easygoing lifestyle, it's not easy. You must have some real skills. I guess you're not just anyone!" The man in the suit casually wiped the table and looked around.

"If you don't want to go to the shelter, I won't force you. In the post-apocalyptic world, the rule of law has weakened. We respect everyone's choices."

"Let me introduce myself. I'm Deputy Director Zhang Jie from the First Shelter's Bureau of Biological Research."

"Another reason we came here is that yesterday we received a distress signal from the first elementary school in Yu Lin City. However, when we organized the rescue mission, it was intentionally hindered by someone's hostile actions."

"Because of this person's hostile interference, our rescue mission failed, resulting in the deaths of all the survivors."

"As our rescue team was leaving, we witnessed this scene on the elementary school's playground."

With that, Zhang Jie showed a picture that clearly depicted Xiao Feng lying on the playground with a Barrett sniper rifle.
