"you are hereby banished." Andersen said as he was not happy with the news of what happened.
"banished, why is that Andersen?" I asked as I looked at him.
"Well nova, my orders were for you to investigate the power station." he said as he looked at the report on the file before continuing, "not fucking destroy it."
"And thanks to your little fucking display up there, the power station was damaged beyond repair." Andersen said as he went over the file report.
"all those good materials, those facilities, completely gone, wiped off the map's grid." Andersen said as he looked at the pics of the damage.
"Two months, those resources could have supported the entire ark for two fucking months." Andersen said as he looked at me.
"Now it"s all flushed down the drain, thanks to you, aden and those nikkes." hearing Andersen say that made me gulp, how did he know I had aden with us, he claimed not to be an outsider or a troublemaker.
"Do you have anything to say to yourself Nova?" Andersen asked me as I try to find the words for my response.
*sigh.*
"well Andersen, yes, I do." I confirmed as Andersen responded.
"No, nothing you can say could possibly excuse what you've done here." Andersen said as he continued.
"As of today, this afternoon, you, aden and your squad are to be driven out of the ark and banished to the outpost, a barren wasteland, a no man's land." Andersen announced as I nod knowing this would happen.
"but do not worry yourself too much Nova, there are at least some resources available there, and I will arrange an escort for you." Andersen said as he looked at the map of the outpost.
"Consider yourselves lucky I haven't thrown you all into a rehabilitation center." Andersen said as he closed the file.
"but Andersen what about rapi?" I said as Andersen started to think.
"Well Nova, she is undergoing maintenance and will be joining you once that is all finished." Andersen said as he looked at the pic of rapi and finished the chat off with "Now go pack your things and get the fuck out of my sight."
"any update on the combat report Ingrid?" Andersen said as he looked at Ingrid who nods her head as she looked at him.
"well, Andersen I've just finished analyzing it." Ingrid said as she looked at him.
"well." Andersen said as if wanting a response.
"well Andersen, to put it in a nutshell, I wouldn't consider them to be particularly proficient in actual combat scenarios either." Ingrid said as she looked at the report.
"So their squad managed to avoid all those creatures and escape with their lives." Andersen asked as she nodded her head.
"something's not right, but I just can not put my finger on it yet, it's worth investigating further." Ingrid said as she looked at Andersen who nodded at her.
"Well, that is why they are sent to the outpost, there is no better place to avoid the eyes of the all-seeing central government." Andersen said as he looked at the outpost on the map.
"one more thing." she said while looking at Andersen as he knew what she suspected.
"I assume you're referring to how those raptures were able to operate human machinery?" Andersen asked as she nodded her head.
"yes Andersen, could it mean that they're evolving?" she asked as if raising that question to Andersen who was sipping his coffee and was trying to process that question.
"Maybe, what is their end game." Andersen asked.
"well, Andersen it's maybe one of two possibilities." she guessed as she looked at Andersen before continuing.
"They either 1 want to wipe out the entire human race, or 2 they want to replace them."
