A great confidence or just an unreasonable ego?
It all happened when a group of teens decided to travel to the mountains and enjoy themselves as a reward for their final exam's passing. It is the era of animal mutations, hybridization, and experimentation of humans and animals.
For the sake of powers and their harmful ambitions. Using the spray that can instantaneously merge any human on the animal it sprayed on but some of the animals needed to be tamed or overpowered to obtain their powers or abilities.
Peter, Rica, Sean, Mark, and Shane have been friends since they were juniors.
But when an accident occurred with an unknown substance that will change his life forever. A student who would experience hardships but his friends are there but an unexpected turn of events is about to begin.
Saturday, 10:00 a.m. in the present.
In the woods-
"What is that? I heard weird noise around those bushes." Sean said while looking around.
" What noise? You're just imagining things" Mark was also wondering, what's that noise?
A snake suddenly appears.
Hsss~ Hsss~
They are all shocked to see the weird-looking snake appear in front of them. Peter tried to scare the snake but it didn't work they were chased by it and he unconsciously tried to bait himself to buy some time to make his friends get into a safe place.
"Mark, what's bothering you in the middle of this commotion?" Shane yelled at him.
"Nothing, just wondering where I put my snack," Mark said while holding his tummy because he was starving from a long walk.
Shane suddenly smacks his head.
"You're dumb, aren't you?! That even you forget your food and think it while something's happening!" Shane angrily shouted at Mark while raising her eyebrows and sweating.
*Back to the scene where the snake chases them*
"Agh! Go away you scaly bastard" When Peter suddenly slipped with the object in front of him but he didn't see that coming.
Trip ~
"Argh that's fckng hurt!!"
" Peter! Are you okay?!" Rica shouted
Peter then replied, " Yes, of course! who do you think I am?"
He then saw what's the object that made him almost crippled "A box with spray for animals?? "He picked it up real quick and without further, he sprayed it on the snake that still following him. Sprsshhhh~
He suddenly fainted after spraying the snake and miraculously the snake disappeared without a trace but after that, he vomited until he passed out.
"Bleurghhhh! What's happening?! am I going to die on this shitty mountain?" Peter was slowly passing out.
Rica rushed towards him. Rustle~
"Peter! Peter! what happened? Are you alright? You're vomiting way too much blood, I'm so worried" Rica slowly held his hands while crying. she has had a crush on Peter since junior day but he is so insensitive to know.
"Oh! there you are we almost lost finding you two..." The three shouted while catching their breath because of exhaustion.
"What the hell happened here?!" Mark rushed to where Peter was lying.
"Why there's a lot of blood everywhere?" Sean immediately opened his bag and got his first aid.
"P... Peter, can you stand?" Shane asked and painted on her face that she was so worried about his friend's condition.
Peter is conscious but can't speak or stand.
"When I saw him he was already like this and the snake that chasing us was gone," Rica said while crying and wiping her tears.
They immediately asked for help and with the help of the residents in the area they rushed Peter to the hospital.
They've reached the hospital.
At the hospital ~
A woman with the uniform of a doctor approached them. "Hi, I am his doctor. Call me Doc Julia. He is stable now, Though I'm still puzzled how he survived those injuries on his internal organs. Analyzing his body and with all of your statement that he vomits blood all I can say is... He is so lucky to be able to withstand that kind of hellish experience." The doctor was worried but she was relieved that there were not so many injuries.
"Doc what would happen to him?" Shane asked while holding her hand.
"He is stable so...there's a high chance that he will recover as soon as possible, right?" Doc Julia replied with a gentle smile on her face.
"Please rest assured, we will do our best to" The conversation was interrupted when her phone suddenly vibrated.
His cell phone was vibrating loudly.
Bzzt~ Bzzt~
"Please excuse me." Doc Julia gently smiled slightly bowed her head and slowly walked away
The four friends are so worried that they can't even leave the waiting area, especially Rica. Hoping that he will soon regain consciousness and recover fast.
Doc Julia came back but she seemed worried and it all painted on his face.
"Doctor Julia, what happened? You seemed so bothered. Is there anything wrong?" Rica seems so worried while holding his friend's belongings.
Sean whispered to Shane. "I overheard their conversation and it's about Peter's condition... "
Sean's words aboard ut to are interrupted when Doc Julia suddenly... rushes to where Peter's room is.
*Russh*
*Fast and loud running steps*
"That way is Peter's room, let's follow her!"
Everyone: " Alright!" Sean calls the attention of his friends and follows the doctor.
They have arrived in his room but...
Rica rushed to his room."Hey! why are you blocking our way?! let us through,
urghh it's getting on my nerves!" Rica forcefully barged into his room but it won't work.
The police and other military officials with gas masks suddenly appear... What's happening in Peter's room? Why there are so many people blocking their way?
"What's happening here??" Doc Julia asked while catching her breath.
"The patient suddenly collapses and his heartbeat drastically rises without any sign of being injected by 'that' medicine but he has the traits of it." The mysterious doctor replied while holding some documents.
" By 'that' y...you mean... that thing? " We can see that Doc Julia's face becomes worried.
Shane overheard the conversation between Doc Julia and the unknown person. Shane wondered if it was all connected to what wass happening to Peter right now.
"Wh-what?! injected of what?" Shane rushed towards where the doctors were.
She grabbed the collar of the unknown doctor
*Grab*
*Slappp*
She was so furious at Shane's rude behavior. "I'm not someone that you can easily disrespect like that! I am Scientist Jai the Head of National Mutant Animal Researchers (NMAR) now, scram!" Scientist Jai is enraged while explaining her position to everyone.
" Head of what?! what is that?"Shane was holding her chin while wondering
"Is it some kind of secret agency?" Sean said while looking at them with an unbothered gaze.
" I've heard that before, the researchers that have the purpose and it's to research, experiment, and make a new species hybrid from unique and endangered animals," Mark replied confidently with his sarcastic tone.
Gasp~
"Hybrid?! isn't it the mixing of two different DNA into one?" Rica is shocked to know what's happening.
" Yeah, you got it right," Sean said in a worried tone.
