"He could not kill my mother." tears brimmed in her eyes as Alric told her the whole story from the day he had met her mother to the way she died. Eve held her dress tightly but she did not dare to weep, afraid that Damien would blame himself more.
"He was just a young child. How much power would he hold to kill my mother when she was that strong? It must have been her own wish. She had let go of her powers and accepted her death. And in the process, she had hurt Damien. Forced him to take the blame and suffer for years." she held his hand, shocking him.
His eyes were wide and staring at her as if she was speaking a foreign language.
