"Mother, are we not returning to our territory? Father already returned last night." asked Diana as she served them tea herself. There were freshly baked sweets and snacks on the table. She smiled at them sweetly.
Gabi raised a brow. It had been months since her daughter had even talked to them. She mostly looks at them as if they were her enemies.
"We can not leave your sister alone. Your father needed to handle some work in the territory. But we are going to stay here until marriage." she announced in a haughty and distant tone as if she was talking to a stranger. But Diana feigned ignorance and smiled brightly.
"Oh yes, my sister is marrying a prince. How dreamy! Father should have stayed here too. I am sure he had enough competent people to manage his work in the territory." She held her mother's arms and leaned her head on them. Her mother eyes him with a scrutinizing look.
