Soliene was taken out. The room was so silent that Eve could hear her own breathing in her ears.
"I need to kneel and pray for the whole night like the previous day?" she asked in a calm voice despite the strange fear she was feeling. She tried to ignore it, but she could not.
"No, that did not work well." he shook his head. "We need to help you so that your prayers reach the goddess." Eve should have rolled her eyes. She should have mocked his words even when it was in her heart. Told herself that the man was senile to think that he could know whether her prayers were reaching the goddess or not.
