"Is there anything special about it that I am not allowed to see?" She looked around but the man did not reply.
"We apologize. But you have to close the curtains, your eminence." there was censure in their voice making Eve's eyes narrow at her surroundings. But she knew that she was not in the state to challenge them.
If she did, Abraham would know about it.
"Very well." she nodded and closed the curtains again. The carriage, which had stopped suddenly, started moving again. Eve closed her eyes and concentrated on the sound.
A frown appeared on her lips. If the carriage is moving, it should create some noise. No matter how good the wheels were. She could feel the moving of the carriage, but she didn't hear any sound from her surroundings except rare neighing of the horses and hymns sung by a few priests.
"Ha!" How can this be possible." she would have believed that she was not able to hear it but she was sure her ears were good enough for that.
