"Oh, lord Killian. Forget the clown. He did not know how to speak." Carmen gave one look to Harold that forced the man to sit down again, his chest heaving with rage and his face red with humiliation.
But he knew what that look meant, if he spoke again, he would be thrown out of the room or worse. And all that because of Evangeline!!
Carmen smiled when he noticed the submission.
"But you need more time to think about it?" his voice fell showing his displeasure. Killian nodded, without caring about it.
"Making a route would also need to clear a few villages. I need to think about it thoroughly before accepting it. After the war, I am not sure if we could pay for the construction too." he refused subtly but Carmen was not the one to accept refusal to take subtle hints.
He shook his hands in a way of dismissal.
