Eve stared at the cup. The tea was brought by her husband when he had been to foreign lands. Perhaps he had brought it because he liked the taste. Maybe.. She would like it too. Then they could enjoy it together while sitting in the garden with their orange lemon meringue. A soft smile appeared on her lips. This time, she would not store them but eat with her.
She would make a lot of other things for him too. When she picked up the cup, she was already dazed with her sweet dreams. But just then, she felt strange pain in her knees and her hold on the cup shook.
A few drops splashed on the table earning the attention of everyone. They all looked at her as if she was a misfit. A woman who could not even hold her teacup. Their eyes looked at Eve as if they were disgusted by her presence.
She turned to her right only to see Elene shaking her head as if telling her you are no match of mine. The woman had kicked her when she was lost in thought. This brazen woman.
