Chapter 18 - Second Time

Liam came back after a short while with a clean shirt in his hand.

"Here. Change into this. You look like a bloody mess." Liam said, tossing the shirt on the bed.

"Get ready. We leave in 10 minutes." He simply said before walking out of the room.

"Dick head. You can't even serve me breakfast." She cursed out loud.

"Aren't you scared of me poisoning you or probably drugging you?" Liam answered from the living room.

'How small could this house possibly be?' She muttered as she changed into the shirt given to her.

"Hold still." Liam said tying her eyes with a black scarf.

"Wait a minute. What the fuck are you doing?" She screamed.

"What does it look like I'm doing? I'm simply blindfolding you so I can take you back home. Is it really that difficult for you to understand?" He said as he tightened the knot.

"Ouch! Easy with the knot. Why would you keep your whereabouts a secret?" She inquired.

"Cause I enjoy my peace and quiet. Now let's go." Liam replied.

He took her back to the open streets where she can look for a cab, before he took the blindfold off her eyes.

He had wanted to take her back to the alley he found her, but he figured there might still be blood on the streets, so he just brought her to an open place.

Elena had been blindfolded for close to thirty minutes. The moment she opened her eyes, she closed them back due to the reaction she got from the sunlight.

"Are you seriously going to turn down my offer?" Elena asked Liam angrily.

"What offer are you talking of?" He in turned acted like he had no idea about what she was saying.

"Don't play dumb with me. You're obviously suffering in your poor shabby home. I don't think you even eat well.

So why not accept my offer and come work for my dad. He might probably be in need of a garden boy, door man or a Butler." Elena blurted out.

"Do I look malnourished to you, princess? I don't need your silly offer. You know what? I think this might just be a plot for you to spend more time with me. You know, if you like me, you can just say so." Liam said in a flirtatious tone as he stared at Elena.

"What nonsense are you saying? That's outrageous. I'm just trying to be of help to you, but you are obviously an ingrate who doesn't deserve my help. You can go and suffer in the dumpster you call home." Elena scoffed in anger, walking away.

Liam felt the urge to tease her more, so he trailed behind her.

"What on Earth are you doing?" She screamed out.

"What does it look like I'm doing?" He said with his arms folded.

"Stop following me punk." Elena scolded.

"Who said anything about me following you? We just happen to be going the same direction. You wouldn't call that following, would you?" Liam smirked at her.

"Then why did you stop. Look here Mr...? I don't even know your name. Just stop following me." Elena hollered in frustration.

"I said it that you were trying to flirt with me. Otherwise, why would you want to know my name so badly." Liam smiled innocently. The people passing by kept staring at the both of them.

"Dude, I'm famous okay? I can't be seen with a low life like you. Just go away. Oh my gosh, what if there's paparazzi taking photos right now? Can you get away from me?" Elena walked really fast, looking around to see if any other person saw her with Liam.

He quickly caught up with her. "Tell me your name first?" Liam asked in an inquisitive manner.

"What? Why would I do that?" She said walking really fast this time. Her heels were not helping her to go far.

"You could have at least handed me a pair of sneakers." She scolded once more.

"Did I ever ask you to wear heels?" He questioned. 'This girl is really something else.' He said inwardly.

"So... your name." Liam stood in front of her, blocking her way.

"Get out of my way you poor imbecile. Why should I tell you my name?" She hollered as she tried walking round Liam.

"Well you seem to be full of yourself, so I would like to know if I'm speaking with royalty." He smirked at her.

"If I tell you, will you let me be?" Elena inquired, obviously frustrated.

"Sure, why not?" Liam responded with an innocent smile.

"If you must know. I'm Elena Morgan, the only child of Mr. Stanley and Mrs Selena Morgan, the founders of the famous and wealthy Morgan Empire. Now get out of my way." She made to walk round him, but he didn't oblige.

"I never asked for a full documentary. I only asked for your name, and let me get this straight. Your mom's name is Selena, and you're Elena. What's the fucking difference between the two. Just remove the 'S' from your mom's name, and you've got yourself an 'Elena'." He laughed out loud.

Elena didn't find his joke funny. "Are you crazy huh? How the fuck is it your business if my mom and I bear the same name?" She became angry.

"I'm just saying, that there's no difference between the two names, that's all." He shrugged, still not granting her passage.

"Fine then Mr perfect. What's YOUR name?" Elena said angrily as she folded her arms staring at him with so much rage in her eyes.

"Fine I'll tell you. Besides, you've been a good girl all these while, so why not. I'm Mordecai." He smiled.

"Mordecai? Mordecai? What kind of a stupid name is that? Yet you complain about me bearing a similar name with my mom." She was getting furious at Liam's crazy act.

"Well then. Bye Miss rich and famous." Liam finally gave way for her to pass. "Oh, and before I forget. Your welcome once more." He said smiling triumphantly before he walked away, not looking back.

"Welcome? For what exactly?" She yelled at him before stomping off. "What kind of an asshole is he? One minute he's being all flirty, the next he's acting as if I'm a ghost."

She had only walked few meters from where she once stood with Liam, when she heard the wailing sound of police sirens.
