Elena was speechless. She stared at her phone, wondering what just happened. "Why was he sounding so hopeless? Why on earth did he end the call on me? What's going on with him?" She wondered.
She tried dialing his number several times, but it kept going straight to voicemail. She felt bad for him all of a sudden.
She had initially gained him a contract with the R & D Corp as well as the Stark Enterprise just to still be on his good side so that she can monitor him up close, but now she felt a sense of pity for him.
"Maybe he's just faking it? But he sounded so honest." She said in confusion.
She tried calling his line multiple times, and only gave up when it kept going to voicemail.
Meanwhile, Daniel sat in confusion in his bedroom.
