Bayne watched as Alice walked away quickly with Derek. He had no right to detain her since she was a royal guest in the castle.
He went back to meet Liam in his room. "Come in." Liam ordered. Bayne walked in with a sad expression on his face. "Any luck?" Liam inquired, dropping the book he was reading.
Bayne fell on his knees, banging his head on the the floor. "Please, Your Highness. You have to believe me. I've searched round the castle, but I've found nothing. I had nothing to do with the killing of the Lady Lela. Please, Your Highness. I'm telling the truth." Bayne kept on pleading.
"Stand up." Liam requested. Bayne hesitated for a while before sluggishly standing up. His forehead was already bleeding from the consistent banging on the floor.
"I believe you." Liam simply said, handing him a handkerchief to wipe of the blood stains on his forehead.
