"Noo!!!" Wendy screamed as the knife inched closer to Kehlani's neck. The next minute, there was a huge explosion in the campsite.
The explosion was so great that it shook the ground vigorously, causing everyone to fall.
"What the hell, Zerys?" Xavier cursed out loud as the ringing in his ear continued.
"I asked for a distraction, not for you to kill us all."
"You asked for a distraction, and I gave you one. You're welcome." Zerys retorted.
He was good at making explosives, and luckily he brought a few on their journey. When Xavier saw the situation Kehlani was in, he decided to help by asking Zerys to create a distraction with one of his explosives.
Kehlani ran for her life when San left her after the explosion.
"What in God's name was that?" Casper asked in shock.
"Just one of my toys." Zerys responded, grinning from ear to ear.
