Sati stood in the patio enjoying the gentle breeze as it caressed her skin. She pondered on Alex's words.
She only said what she had told him earlier to tease him. 'How could she possibly be acting like an adult?'
She was getting cold. The sleeves of her dress were made of net, which weren't helping matters.
She turned to leave the patio when a guard approached her. "I've been searching all over for you your highness. The crown prince Liam has sent for you."
"Where is he?"
"He's in the castle's South wing. At the guest room that was once used for storage. I'll take you to him." He briefly described Liam's location.
"Don't worry. I know my way around the castle. It's my home after all." Sati said as she left the guard standing there.
She walked down the lonely hall, humming a pleasant tone her mom usually sings for her.
As she walked down the dimly lit halls, she could have sworn she heard footsteps.
