Xavier was beyond broken when he saw Liam was not with them, and the worst part of it all was that Daria would probably die on the spot if she were to find out that Liam was left to fight against a demon all alone.
If Xavier was feeling shattered inside about Liam not being with the troop, then Daria would not only feel sad, but she might end up taking her own life.
"Greetings your highness. How's the young miss? Were you able to get her here on time?" Bayne asked Xavier when they met.
"Uhmm... Yeah... she's doing fine." Xavier stuttered, not knowing how to ask after Liam. He was scared of hearing about Liam's death. Even though they were of different fathers, Xavier still saw Liam as his brother, and nothing could ever change that bond between them.
"Uhmm... " Xavier cleared his throat. It felt like the question he was about to ask was choking him, and pressing down on his heart.
