Liam drove Elena back to her apartment. There was silence in the car with Elena clutching the knife Liam gave to her.
Elena was shaking in fright at the back seat of the car. She was beyond scared. She was in a car with not just any demon, but the devil himself. She still found it hard to believe that supernatural beings exist in real life.
"We're here." Liam said softly as he stepped down from the car, giving Elena space to come down. He knew she wouldn't come down unless he was at a safe distance.
Liam felt hurt in so many ways. The same Elena who once withheld her apartment key just so that he wouldn't leave is now the one who wouldn't let Liam come close to her.
Liam approached Elena, but she quickly moved back. Liam sighed, retracting his steps. "Stay safe."
Elena felt conflicted as Liam turned to leave. She was extremely frightened by his true nature, but she could not forget so easily how kind he had been to her.
