Elena groaned in her sleep, rolling on the bed. She jerked up from the bed as the nightmare she was having wouldn't let her sleep. 'It was just a dream.' She sighed.
Her heart raced when she observed the environment she was in. She was neither in her family's manor, nor in her new apartment. 'Was it really just a dream?' She asked herself.
She heard footsteps approaching, and she clutched the bed sheet. The moment she saw Liam at the doorpost, she quivered in fright.
"St... stay back. Don't come... any... closer." Elena stammered in fright.
Liam had a sad smile on his face. He wouldn't blame her for hating him. He hated himself, so he never expected anything less from her, although it pained him in the heart that she was no longer free with him.
"Eat something." Liam dropped the tray he came in with at the doorpost.
