It took Dawn and Casper more than three hours to prepare the medicine. It took a lot of time for the mixture to blend together and boil, but they eventually got what they were looking for after four and a half hours.
"Can I take the drug to the prince?" Dawn asked after they've bottled the medicine.
"Yeah sure. Why not?" Casper shrugged, handing her the drug.
Dawn was going to use the opportunity to apologize to Xavier, but she didn't get the chance to give him the medicine.
"I know you're a guest in the castle, but we need your help in tending to the injuries of the other soldiers. We've tried all we could, but nothing we did was of any use." One of the castle's physicians stopped Dawn on her way to Xavier's room.
"I'm on my way to prince Xavier's room. I have to give him this medicine to lessen the pain of his broken back. Maybe some other time." Dawn explained politely, but the physician was having none of it.
