Alex stared at the armchair behind him, and then at the elders whose facial expressions bore no emotions.
He finally sat down on the chair, after thinking much about it. 'What could possibly go wrong?' He had thought.
"You earlier said something about the painting on the wall?" Alex said, making his statement sound like a question.
"Yes, but that's not why you're here." An elder seated at the middle replied.
"Who are you?" Another interrogated.
Alex had already prepared himself for questions like the one being asked. "Bruce. Alexander Bruce."
"That's not what I meant. I ask again. Who are you?" The elder asked again, still maintaining his calm state.
Alex became confused immediately. 'If that's not what he meant, then what other meaning is there to his question?'
"That's who I am."
"Let me break it down in a way you'll understand. Where are you from?" Another elder chimed in.
"I'm from Amstrid..."
