Alex had stopped leaning on Ava when they walked few miles away from the hut.
"Are you sure you can walk on your own?" Ava had asked when he insisted on walking on his own.
"Yes I am." He said in assurance.
They walked slowly through the little village. Ava was all smiles as the kids kept running to her.
"Come play with us, aunty Ava." One of the child pleaded, pulling her towards the direction of the other playing children.
"Not this time sunshine." She replied with an apologetic look on her face.
"Why? Is it cause you're on a date with the really gorgeous man by your side?" The little girl asked, staring directly at Ava with twinkling eyes.
Ava opened her mouth to say something and closed it immediately. She took a quick glance at Alex to find him laughing silently.
"Yes. She's busy cause we're on a date." Alex replied.
