Chapter 57 - They are dumb

Blaze tried to maintain his calm and replied.

"I would not enjoy having the company of spies in my guild."

One of the twins flinched and his eyes opened wide.

He instantly asked back with an astonished and confused voice.

"How did you know?"

The other man kicked his calf and rebuked him loudly.

"Shut up, you idiot! Why are you confirming his suspicion?!"

Blaze's lips started twitching.

He interrupted their conversation coldly.

"Suspicion? No...I am certain that you are spies of the White Tiger guild."

At his voice, both men quieted down and turned to look at him.

They still had that clueless look on their faces, as if they really had no idea what gave them away.

Frore who did not want to see their faces any longer, looked at Blaze; who was also reaching the limit of his patience.

[Blaze don't bother with them. I will just throw them out.]

{No,wait Frore. You shouldn't do that. There are other people outside. It will have a bad effect on our reputation.}

Looking at their faces, Blaze held back a sigh and pointed at the shoulder of the man who had instantly blurted out the truth after listening to Blaze.

He had a tattoo of a tiger on his right shoulder. They were both wearing vest and shorts, so it was clearly visible there was no mistake about it.

"That's the symbol of the White Tiger's guild. I know that I am not wrong."

Then, the other man who seemed to be a bit smarter than his brother looked at the place where Blaze was pointing at with his finger.

He had a shocked expression on his face, as if he had no idea about his brother's tattoo.

{And here I thought that he was supposed to be the smarter one. Maybe I am the one who is stupid for thinking something like that.}

"Now, please see your way out. I do not have any more time to waste on you both."

{Is everyone in their guild pea-brained? I had some expectations from their new guild leader. But, if he chose these guys for spy work; then the White Tiger's really have no hope left. That's good for me though, I already have my hands full with a lot of things.The lesser the trouble, the better.}

Thinking about such things, Blaze's mood improved a bit.

He stood up and the twins quickly exited through the door.

It seemed that they had misunderstood Blaze's action of getting up from his seat as him getting ready to attack them and so they ran away without any delay.

Blaze who had no idea about this walked towards the side door of the hall.

Evan was standing there when he opened the door.

Blaze told him that he wanted to stop there today and that he was going to the office to do some work and he should not let anyone approach it or disturb him.

After the small conversation, he made his way back and pulled the bag of registration forms.

He made eye contact with Frore,who was standing beside him while carrying the sleeping Aakriti on his back and gave him a light smile.

"Let's go."

-----

In the office.

Erebus was lying on the sofa, unconscious while Anashvar was keeping watch on him.

Erebus opened his eyes with a slight headache, and slowly recalled the events that had left him to loose consciousness.

He sat up abruptly and hurriedly touched his face with both hands, only to realise that his face was still covered with a viel.

His heart was beating really fast due to nervousness and he started sweating a lot, afraid that his secret has been revealed to the public.

Anashvar who was sitting on the opposite sofa, flinched when Erebus sat up and commented in a calm and in his childlike sweet voice.

"You don't have to be worried, sir. Nobody has seen your face. I haven't seen your face either."

Erebus calmed down after listening to what Anashvar had to say. His breathing returned to normal and he turned his head in Anashvar's direction.

He knew that the child had more to say, because he could feel the energy from the potion that Blaze had fed to him earlier, inside his body.

That potion, was not a common everyday energy potion.

Only a person who was familiar with his identity, would give him such a thing.

That is to say, that no-one except Blaze knew who he really was.

Erebus organised his thoughts and the conclusion he came up with was simple.

{Blaze decided to hide my identity, even from his siblings. He can be trusted to keep it a secret, at least.}

Anashvar continued with a smile. He felt really grateful to him.

It was only natural for him to feel this way. After all, Erebus had helped his sister, even though he was a complete stranger to them.

"Mr. Erebus, please stay here and rest a bit more. Big brother said that he wanted to have a talk with you."

Erebus also wanted to have a chat with Blaze and nodded his head in response and laid back down on the sofa.
