Synopsis
Maybe I should stop trying to talk to him but Nhle said I should try to and I would like to know my future husband. Me: Am I invisible My Husband? I asked How are you? (His voice was pure ice and intimidating, I found myself gulping loudly, I'm doing all of this for Nhle, if she saw this guy as he is right now he will no longer be the handsome hunk that she'll snack on) Me: Level with me please Qhawe, I'm trying to get to know you as we are soon to be married. Chapter 1 - Sweet Morning

Aunt: Hurry up you little self entitled slob, your soon to be husband will be here in couple of minutes.

She was standing in the door watching me dress in a long orange traditional attire and a doek that goes along with it and brown sandals, I stole a glimpse of myself in the mirror before heading to the door.

I walked to the sitting room where I met her husband and daughter sitting peacefully while indulging in a hilarious conversation that got Ntombenhle's ribs cracking up. I smiled at her when our eyes locked and she returned it standing up with her jaw dropped.

I caught Uncle Mike in a very compromising position where he was raping me with his eyes and licking his lips lustfully. Maybe leaving here will be much better where I will not suffer from his sexual harrassments and disgusting favours. I once told my aunt hoping that for once in her life she will stand up for me, but she only blamed me for his husband wandering eyes saying I'm the one who's seducing him with these short dresses and tight skirts I wear, she went as far as burning everything that's short and tight and bought me long pinafores and traditional attires with doeks to hid my "shameful, ugly body" I hid a few though that she didn't get to set up on fire.

There was a car beep outside and my aunt held my hand ushering me outside, a black Mercedes Benz car was packed outside the gate, I took deep sighs as I saw Maqhawe getting out of the car, walking around the car and standing by the passanger seat waving his hands to us.

Aunt: Behave! (She pointed her crooked finger on my face before pushing me to the steps of the veranda making me almost fall. The nerve! Ntombi follow me from behind taking me hand and squeezing it slowly.

Ntombi: You're a nervous wreck right now. Breath.

Me: It's hard to not be a wreck Nhle when I'm sold to a guy I don't know nor love.

Ntombi: Just hope that it works out. But today it's not about that, it's about getting to know each other. When you are in that restaurant whichever he picked, try to make a small conversation. Ask him about his favourites and hobbies, his dos and don'ts small things like that

Me: How do you know all of this and how sure are you that it is going to work?

Ntombi: TV duh, I'm not sure about it working but don't give up

Me: Ngyabonga mtasekhaya.

Ntombi: Woah, will you look at that? Your handsome hunk is so handsome I can snack on him. Girl you've scored

Me: I've seen better (Rolling my eyes, I could see that he's getting impatient, we arrived at the gate and she pulled me into a quick hug before kissing the back of my hand)

Ntombi: Take care. (I went outside the gate and looked at her waving at me and Maqhawe, he waved back.)

Me: Sawubona.

He didn't reply, he just opened the door for me with an emotionless face. That was rude.

He closed the door, went to the driver's side and got in before closing the door behind him.

Without saying a word he drove off to town Winterton going to a exclusive restaurant. He parked his car and got out, I thought he was going to open the door for me but he walked to the entrance getting in, I widen my eyes in shock, so much for being a gentleman in front of people. I got off the car and it beeped. Wow it locked itself. I headed inside and I saw him in the corner table drinking what I think is whiskey, I sat down and the waiter came to me.

Waiter: Good morning Miss what can I get you?

Me: What are my options?

Waiter: Wine, Water, whiskey, coffee, tea, iced tea and any kind of flavours of juice.

Me: Water with ice, lemon and sugar.

Waiter: Lemonade?

Yes! Why didn't I think of that? Instead of making a fool of myself.

Me: Yes. (I said shyly as he walked away, I turned my attention to the gentleman sitting in front of me. He was slowly sipping his whiskey with a little cringe on his face. He looks irritated even though there's no emotions on his face)

Me: How are you?

He looked at me briefly before looking away not replying. His stare was cold and intense, I felt like pooping on myself. Maybe I should stop trying to talk to him but Nhle said I should

Maybe I should stop trying to talk to him but Nhle said I should try to and I would like to know my future husband.

I gulped down half of my lemonade, the atmosphere is intense you can cut it with a knife. The waiter came back.

Waiter: Here you go Sir. Would you like to order anything to eat now?

I took the menu from the table then skim through it. Got it!

Me: The triple decker pizza please with fries on the side.

Waiter: Meat or chicken?

Me: Meat?

Waiter: Thick or thin crust?

Me: Thin

Waiter: Okay ma'am and you sir?

Maqhawe: Pork head deeply boiled and creamy samp with spinach on the side

He really just ordered that in this sort of restaurant? The waiter kept a smile even though you can see that it's fake.

Waiter: Will that be all?

Me: Can I have a glass of wine?

I said innocently, I don't remember the time I last drank.

Waiter: Red or White?

Me: Which one do you recommend?

Waiter: Most people like red ma'am.

Me: Okay give me that one.

Waiter: Dry or sweet?

Is the next question he's supposed to ask is wet or sour. No ways.

Me: Sweet.

He smiled jotting it down quickly before leaving

Maqhawe: Ngeke ngibe nomfazi oyisidakwa mina!

Says a person who just ordered a glass full of whiskey.

Me: I'm not a drunkard

Maqhawe: You will not drink that wine in my presence. You don't want to see me irritated My Wife. (His emphasis on my wife was bitter like him)
