Chapter 89 - The Rivalry of Daughter's Red

Mr. Zhang's hotel was renowned for its excellent wines, with "Daughter's Red" being the standout choice, loved even by the emperor himself. As Mr. Zhang grew older, he entrusted the management of the hotel to his beautiful daughter, turning it into a thriving establishment known as "Daughter's Red."

However, one day, a new hotel opened right across the street, boldly named "Authentic Daughter's Red." Surprisingly, Mr. Zhang's business began to dwindle as the new establishment stole his customers. Perplexed, Mr. Zhang decided to investigate, only to discover that the rival's "Daughter's Red" was far superior.

Back home, he tried to replicate the recipe but couldn't match the quality. Frustrated and curious, Mr. Zhang decided on a risky endeavor to steal the rival's secret recipe, with potentially dire consequences if caught.

One night, he returned home with a pale and frightened face. When questioned by his daughter, he uttered a chilling statement, "Quickly, go as far away as you can!" before collapsing. The doctor confirmed he died of fright.

Determined to uncover the truth, Mr. Zhang's daughter ventured to the rival's hotel one moonless night. In a dimly lit kitchen, she witnessed a horrifying scene. Young girls, their mouths sealed, were suspended, and strong men inserted hollow pipes into their chests, collecting their blood into barrels of wine. A smooth-skinned elderly man poured liquid into the barrels, releasing the enticing aroma of "Daughter's Red."

Suddenly, a messenger arrived, reporting the arrival of one hundred girls. However, the old man insisted there were one hundred and one. In shock, the messenger said he had counted one hundred. The old man, with blood wine on his lips, declared that the hundred and first girl was outside. As he spoke, his blood-red fingers stretched unnaturally, gripping the throat of Mr. Zhang's daughter, dragging her inside, and she was never heard from again.
