Chapter 51 - The Mirror in the Morgue

There was a medical school that, in order to educate well-rounded students, had a tradition of having one student spend a night alone in the morgue during the final exams every semester. While this exam may have seemed inhumane to some, the school continued to uphold this practice.

This time, it was Amie's turn. She was always known for her boldness at school, and she even enjoyed scaring her friends with ghost stories on forums like Mop. She had declared that she wasn't afraid of this kind of test. However, when the school announced it was her turn, she still broke out in a cold sweat. After all, spending a whole night alone in a pitch-black morgue without any lights was quite an intimidating prospect.

That night, Amie was taken to the morgue, and with a loud slam, the door was shut behind her. The room instantly became pitch black, and she couldn't see a thing. Amie cowered in a corner, and the thought of being surrounded by the deceased sent shivers down her spine. After a while, moonlight crept in, and by its glow, Amie noticed a mirror on the wall. So, she started to sing in front of the mirror, and she sang all night long until morning.

The next day, with a sore throat, Amie was brought out. She proudly told everyone that nothing had happened, and it was just a minor task for her. Her classmates were quite impressed. However, one classmate asked her why her throat was so swollen. She explained that she had been singing all night in front of the mirror in the morgue and stopped only this morning.

At that moment, everyone's faces turned pale, and Amie couldn't understand why. After a pause, one classmate, looking horrified, told her, "There aren't any mirrors in the morgue!"
