Chapter 45 - The Misunderstood Figures on the Bridge

Once upon a time, there was a bridge with a history of traffic accidents, claiming the lives of two individuals. Several of the streetlights on the bridge were malfunctioning, and very few people dared to cross it at night. One evening, a mother and her young son began walking across the bridge. The mother, anxious to get them to the other side quickly, urged her son on. The little boy, oblivious to the bridge's eerie reputation, was busy looking around.

Suddenly, he said, "Mom, look, there are two people on the electric pole up ahead." His words sent shivers down his mother's spine, and she grabbed her son, fleeing all the way back home. Back at home, her fear grew, and she decided to report the incident to the police.

The police considered the matter quite serious and conducted a thorough search of the bridge and its surroundings but found no signs of any suspicious activity. They then returned to the mother, who was initially too frightened to look. She explained that her son had been the one to spot the figures on the electric pole. The child was already asleep, so the police decided to return the following day.

The next day, the police accompanied the mother and her son to the bridge for a closer look. The boy pointed at one particular electric pole with a sign that read, "Traffic safety is everyone's responsibility." He then declared, "It's right here, Mom, there are two people." Little did they know; the child only recognized the word "人" (person) on the sign, leading to a humorous misunderstanding.
