Chapter 14 - The Terrifying Secret Behind Ah Fang's Chicken Feet

Do you have an appetite for chicken feet? After hearing this story, would you dare to savor them again? Ah Fang is the owner of a bustling street food stall. His business used to be quite ordinary, but everything changed when he received guidance from a mysterious mentor. His signature dish became the beloved soy sauce chicken feet, but there was a catch – he limited the daily servings to only ten portions.

This scarcity led to an agonizing experience for food enthusiasts like me. Sometimes, I arrived too late, and they were already sold out. On one fateful day, I was so desperate for a taste that I couldn't even sleep. But here's where the story takes an eerie turn.

Ah Fang had a peculiar quirk. He always kept his kitchen concealed with black curtains. Nobody knew how he prepared his dishes. What made it even stranger was that I never saw him purchase chicken feet, nor did he have any chickens of his own. This begged the question: Where did he source his ingredients?

Unable to bear my curiosity any longer, I decided to sneak onto his roof one day. I lifted a corner of the roof tiles, determined to learn his secrets. What I saw was an unforgettable sight. I beheld a hand – a human hand, still connected to its owner, although not entirely. The person was alive, but their face contorted in agony, yet they couldn't utter a sound.

The body appeared emaciated, with skin tightly clinging to bones, but the hand was remarkably plump and pulsating, a sickly grayish-yellow. It had a hint of blood and trembled involuntarily. Just then, someone ordered a serving of chicken feet. I witnessed Ah Fang swiftly and skillfully chop off a piece from that bizarre hand, which he immediately tossed into the pot with seasonings.

In no time, a delectable plate of chicken feet emerged from the sizzling pot. Ah Fang brought it out, but that's when I noticed him grinning in my direction. Suddenly, a loud "thud" echoed, and I tumbled into Ah Fang's kitchen, trapped in a chilling revelation.
