Zac and the others were covered by an inflatable rubber ball that started to inflate as the backpack behind them suddenly released a sudden jet stream to slow down their descent. This secured their landing and provided protection for them. It made no sound as it hit the ground, absorbing the force of the fall and keeping them safe.
The ball deflated after the landing, freeing Zac and the others inside. Zac sat on the ground, stunned, trying not to even think about what had happened, forgetting how painful his dislocated arm hurt. He was expecting serious injuries and was prepared to take the brunt of the fall just a moment ago. Now, though, he and the others were securely seated on the ground. When he turned around, he noticed that Elena and Luna were staring at him strangely.
"Captain, were you aware of this?" He enquired.
"Yeah, it's not my first time being dropped from a spaceship," she replied.
