Chereads / BECOMING AN ANCESTOR / Chapter 45 - Forest once again

Chapter 45 - Forest once again

After two weeks, we finally finished exploring the base of the mountain.

Apart from the dwarf gnus and cows, I didn't encounter any new or strange animals.

We also didn't find any more strong smells in the other caves, but we did discover some metals.

Iron, gold, copper, and even some diamonds.

This is the second time I've found something very valuable, but now it's just a beautiful stone.

I could only find copper in the last cave we explored.

With this, my options for things I can do have increased.

"Boss, we've finished dismantling the camp, we're ready to go."

"Great, let's head to that forest and then return to the tribe."

...

"Uhmm, do you think he'll discover something?"

"And so what if he does? Isn't that one of the purposes of this?"

"But it's still too early; this could disadvantage the others."

"Well, he has always been ahead of the others, and he even killed one."

"But it was an inferior one; those at his level are completely different."

"Even so, we can't interfere, so I just hope nothing happens."

"You worry too much about such insignificant things; don't forget that they are...."

"Did I miss something?"

"N... no, sir, we didn't know you would come to such a place."

"Yes, we were just discussing about them."

"Don't worry, let me take a look."

"Look here, it seems we have someone special here."

"I understand why you're concerned, but just let things be as they are."

"Of course, as you command."

...

"Boss, how long do you think it will take for us to return to the tribe?"

"How long?"

"Uhmm, I think a few more days, Martins."

"At most two weeks. I'm not expecting to find anything significant in that forest, and even if I do, I won't explore it alone."

After leaving the mountain, it took us a few hours to reach the edge of the lake, and after a night's rest, we set off for the forest with the sunrise.

After a few hours of walking, we began to get a better view of the forest.

It was a tropical type.

"Okay, we're close. We'll set up camp when we get there, and tomorrow we'll explore. But this time, we won't split up."

"Hahaha, finally, I can sleep in a tree again; I'm tired of just staying on the ground."

"Ah, it seems we left the forest, but the forest hasn't left us."
