Finally, after testing several times, I created the right ink. Now, upon further reflection, it was indeed a bad idea to think of using clay to create the map. Despite the extra effort, it was rather straightforward, especially when compared to using clay for this purpose. Furthermore, there was a risk of the map breaking, whereas the ink could last longer.
So, I took the ink and went to a stone I had chosen. The stone was about three meters in size and was perfect for what I wanted. It was located next to the workshop, and the ink would stand out well.
The ink I managed to obtain was a crimson red. I had to obtain red and make several mixtures to achieve this shade.
With my fingers, I began to draw.
First, I outlined the edges of the forest and marked what was outside as the savanna.
Then, I started to trace the river, the place where it first appeared, followed by the location of the flock, and finally the workshop.
I also drew the routes I had created, shortcuts, and provided details about the types of trees, the source of the river, and the locations with predators.
Finally, I finished.
The map covered a significant portion of the stone, but I left most of it empty, as the majority was the savanna, while in the forest, I included all the details that I knew.
Three months later
Ok, let's do this.
Run, run, run.
It's been three months since I created the map, and almost half a year since I came here.
At the beginning, it was tough, but with time, I managed to get used to it, whether it was interacting with my family or the group, or the part of having to worry about predators. It was really challenging, but the day has finally come when this will be behind me!
Exhales Haha, I arrived.
What lay before me could only be described as... incredible.
What I found in front of me was something I discovered while walking through the forest. I stumbled upon a passage that led to a cave.
My initial reaction was, 'What?' Then I thought, 'I guess I can become a caveman now.'
Setting aside the jest.
I was very intrigued by it, and since it was a dark area, I had to create fire.
I was a bit nervous, as it was my first time making fire. I honestly thought it would be different. I thought the first time would be by making a bonfire for the group or something like that, but instead, it was to create a torch to illuminate a cave.
I decided to return to the workshop to get my tools, thinking about the best way to make fire. I found flint stones, unfortunately, I didn't find any metal, so I'll have to make do with what I have for now, but I did find stones that could do the job.
After gathering everything, I returned to the cave.
I guess I need to say something before making fire.
Coughs Let there be light.
Strikes Strikes.
Fire!!!
Haha, I made fire.
After almost half a year, I managed to make fire.
Well, let's explore this place.
