My name is Ivan Ironov, a graduate of medicine in the europa coalition. Recently my only family died of old age telling me his last words. "Jove, has abandoned us."
It was not even for me but for something else. My father is an old adventurer and explorer of the great europa, he was one of the pioneer that got us where we are. Unfortunately he suffered a great injury that his friends has to make him retire, and settle down in the cold caverns. A considered safe area by the europa coalition. But i doubt it, thats why I decided to join someone's crew. A rich captain of the europa coalition although he is a rookie he is damn rich. He already has six people in the submarine I guess I am the last one.
"Get up bro, its time we explore the great seas. well, below the sea that is hahaha" said by the captain while patting my back.
"Alright, Im tired of this outpost, anyway how deep are we going in this 'exploration' of your great sea, are we getting an artifact or something" I said.
"Ay man I hired you, no questions and just do as you are told. The hell are you to question me" although he is angry he seems nervous about the question.
"Yes captain" I replied while following behind him.
After walking a few distance away from the cafeteria I saw the hatch that will lead me to the open sea of europa, im not gonna lie, it looks amazing inside the submarine. There are only seven diving suits near the air lock.
'only seven diving suits? What the hell one has to die if the sub is flooded. I have to take one quick if i don't want to die'
As we go deeper inside the typhoon 2 I saw the crew that he hired and greeted them. "Hello everyone I am Ivan ironov the medic hired by the captain uhh" "serfi fideli, welcome everyone. Its time we get into business, how are the reactor, peter?"
"Its looking fine right now capt, just need two more fuel rods for the journey and back we should be fine" replied by peter.
"What about the guns and the pumps?"
"They are good to go capt, the two assistant did the job we checked everything aswell" replied by the mechanic.
"Alright thanks james. Hey Ivan check the medical cabinet and see if we are good in our meds. its at the top left of the submarine"
I decided to head to the medic room to see what we have. "Fucking captain indeed, he knows what to do like a book, I guess this rookie captain is competent"
"Hey, are you the new med guy?" Asked by someone inside a container.
"Holy mother of-" I blurted out.
"Hey chill its just me, jake the new assistant" he said while giggling.
"Don't scare me like that man you are like a goblin inside that fucking container almost stab the hell out of you"
"You mean stab in HAHA" the assistant laughed.
'Fucking clown' I thought to myself while moving forward to the medical room. I arrive at the medical room looking at the messy container piles. "They don't care about medical items huh, and where is the morphine and fentanyl. God this place is a mess."
Announcement rung out on the speakers of the medical room.
"Everyone on their station now, we are going to undock soon. Doctor Ivan please report to the navigation room"
I headed quickly to the navigation room as soon as I heard the announcement.
"Doctor Ivan, is everything good in the medical room? I know that place has become a mess but I know you can fix that. are we lacking any meds?"
I replied. "No we have a good supply of meds its just, well the list is complete. The items in the container though, is not."
"Hah, forget about it those guys must have took them and used them to get high. We'll be fine anyway we are in cold cavern the only danger here is spinelings."
I shrugged slightly and just walked away.
'I guess I should just unpack my things. now that we are traveling I should look at that last gift my father left me'
After getting to the crew cabin I unpacked my things and looked at the advanced gene splicer that my father left for me. It has a distinction of being old and a little dusty. While looking at it I discovered that it already has a gene inside of it, glowing and blinking in some sort of a violet light. I found it to be intriguing and flick my finger on the glass. No reaction whatsoever, its just there waiting to be injected. The container of this gene was burned in this injector so its impossible to remove, but there is another slot for it that has nothing. maybe I should wait for something before I use this, or should I even use this on myself?
As I am thinking on what I should do, an announcement rang out.
"Everyone on board please head to the navigation room"
As I walked out I saw the engineer climbing up. "Hey doc, do you have some bandage I got burned a little fixing that junction box"
"Sure, I have some bandages here, I have a question though. Why does the captain what to go this deep into the cold caverns?"
Peter replied. "To be honest doc, the captain is looking for that pirate ship that sunk 20 years ago. No idea why he needs to, that ship would be rust by now after all. Don't tell him I said this to you though I might get a cut in pay" he said to me while smiling as I hand him the bandage.
We both arrived in the navigation room after a few minutes of walking.
"Since everyone is here its time to let you guys know the mission. Its a recovery mission I need security and medic for this one your goal is to make sure you get the log left behind by this submarine and return safe with the log, don't even think about opening it." Explained by the captain.
"We got it sir captain" replied by the security.
"Now that is sorted out. its time to set roles, assistant go to the junction boxes and maintain them, engineer take care of the reactor, mechanic check our equipments and instrument and make sure they are working fine. Its time we go deep" the captain ordered.
