Adira tiptoed into the house with fear. She had sighted Williams' car when she got closer to the apartment. She wondered if everything was alright, the Williams she knew didn't come home that early.
On getting to the living room, she let out a sign of relief when she didn't see Williams in there. Quickly she began to tiptoe into her room. She was halfway to her room when Williams called her.
This had startled her. Her heart began to beat faster, and she stood still like she had seen a ghost. Williams eyebrows furrowed. He didn't understand why she would be scared.
"You came back at the right time, Adira."
He said, and walked close to her. He stretched his hands, and wrapping them around her upper body, he planted a soft kiss on her forehead.
"I'm happy to see you again."
He sounded.
Adira was confused. Those behaviors were not typical of Williams. She wondered what would make him grow that soft overnight.
