When Ethan got back to his Chambers.
Perplexed, he sat briefly on the couch to think about what he was about to do.
It didn't make sense freeing a slave. It would cause so much damage to the pack. As he thought harder, the so many "what ifs." flooded his mind.
He stood up immediately and began to pace the room.
He lifted his gaze to meet the door open when a knock landed on it.
Eddy walked in slowly. He was carrying a bowl and in it were perfectly sliced apples.
He peeped into the room. He was standing at the door expecting Ethan to usher him in.
"You already walked in without me ushering you in, so why don't you complete what you started"
Ethan said sarcastically.
Eddy chuckled. He had forced a smile, as though he was happy with what Ethan had said.
The whole plan surrounding him offering Williams to Julie was about to crumble if Ethan requests they return Williams. And he wasn't going to let that happen.
