Adira squirmed in response to the tap on her iron cage. She turned to the other side of the cage, backing the entrance of the cubicle. Her face scattered with few hairs and her nails were long, almost looking like a paw. She was fast asleep and didn't hear a knock on her cage.
It was about 1:30 am and a resting time for everyone in the pack. The slave house maintained a dead silence as well. Her body was too weak and needed it's sleep as her sleep wake cycle had adjusted to the normal lights on and out of the slave house. The knock came for the second time, but she was still dead to the world.
Her visitor stopped knocking. He looked at her with precision, paying attention to every detail in her body. He saw her nails, that of the leg looking just like paws. He recognized the animal it belonged to. It was from his kind, and his kind were not meant to be a slave. He tapped the cage again, this time to make her turn to face him.
He wanted to study her face once more before proceeding to do what he came for. But when Adira didn't move, he decided to inflict little pains on her. He cupped his hands, gathering as much energy as he could, before he finally released it into her lower back.
Adira screamed in pain when she felt a pain hit her in her lower back, between her slim waist and curves. She struggled to open her eyes, but the heavy light that shone on her eyes hindered it. She attempted to block the light with her hands, but the more she did the harder it became.
Her heart had attempted to jump into her mouth, as a rippled fear ran across her. Her lungs were struggling to get oxygen and her heart was beating so fast.
"Who are you?"
She managed to ask. But she noticed her voice had become faint. The barrier around her wouldn't allow her to speak or see. She struggled to speak again, but the more she tried, the more her voice became fainter. The thought that she might be dead caused her great pressure and made her panic. She didn't wish to die, she didn't wish the Cardias pack to defeat her.
"Are you a witch?"
The strange man asked, as he stepped into her cage. Now the two of them are inside the same cage with a barrier that looks like a rumpled crowd. He moved to her and grabbed her chin. He squeezed it harder, causing her to let out a loud cry. Adira wondered why no one had come to save her. At least, even if she was dead, someone from the dead world should have found interest in saving her. But why would she even be suffering if she was still dead.
She struggled to breathe after the man transferred his grip to her throat, squeezing it in between his fingers and still asking his questions. She still couldn't see due to the intensity of the light and now she wanted to plead for her life, but her voice had vanished completely. She has lost its potency.
Adira wondered who this monster was. He has made her dumb and unable to see in a matter of minutes, and she can't remember offending anyone. She summoned courage and grabbed the hands that gripped her neck. She tried to pull it off, but he was too strong for her to defeat. And when she saw she couldn't pull the hands off on her own, she forcefully kicked him below the belt.
The strange man grunted, and let go of her neck almost immediately. He noticed Adira couldn't still see so he swept to her back and grabbed her hands towards her back.
"You think I wouldn't find you ...huh?"
"No human who sees a wolf shift survives it."
He barked as he pressed her arms against each other in her back.
"And you had the audacity to practice black magic, and tried to kill me ...huh?"
He chuckled under his breath, straining her limbs the more, causing her more pain.
Adira muttered some curse words under her breathe as she struggled to endure the pains.
Now she knows who the man was.
"This must be the man I saw shift." She cried inwardly.
She wished she never retired late the day before or walked down the walkway alone. She cursed Kara under her breath for being the genesis of all this.
"If only she allowed me to go on time." She cried.
She could speak but her voice wasn't heard. The barrier the man created also made her weak and in addition to hindering her ability to see and speak, she resorted to speaking inwardly.
She wanted to scream for help or even plead for her safety, but couldn't.
Frustrated, she ignored the tears that fell on her chin. For the upteamth Time, she was experiencing a near death experience in the Cardias pack. This time she doubted she would survive it.
"You look hot by the way." The man whispered seductively into her ears.
He reached for her boobs, fumbling it in between his palm.
He held her shoulder with his neck, while holding her upper limbs with one of his palms. He took a strong grip of her buttocks and realized it was soft. He grunted loudly, and gripped it again.
Adira could feel the bulge in his groin but she was helplsss. The man made her feel disgusted. She moved violently, trying to fight his disgusting body off her, but the more she tried, the more she became weak. He plastered a warm kiss on her neck, and said.
"I'll have you before I get rid of you."
This made Adira cry harder, she wished for a miracle to happen. She wished the guards would hear them and shut them down rather than the man violating her. She pressed against him, trying to hit his jaw off with her shoulder. But the strange man revolted. It was obvious he was stronger than her.
"The barrier can't help you perform your black magic witch! So stop trying."
He barked, letting out an evil laughter.
"I wanted to be calm but you've annoyed me...haha!" He barked.
He placed his hands on her neck when he noticed a gold necklace on it.
"This looks like real gold."
He quickly grabbed it and in an attempt to pull it off, a strong force hit his head and he fell to the ground.
Adira, watched in fear as the man dropped. The barrier began to go down and in a matter of seconds, she regained her strength, her voice and ability to see. She could see a short chubby on the floor, he was unconscious. She placed her hands on his neck, she noticed his body was turning cold. She remembered what she was thought in the outside world on how to check for pulse. So she quickly grabbed his right hand and began to search for his pulse. And after checking two hands, it dawned on her that she was now with a dead wolf in her cage.
"What do I do!"
She asked inwardly as cold shivers run across her.
She knew what was at stake, the pack would never believe what she said.
