Chapter 3 - The Hidden Waterfall

Deep within the heart of the impenetrable jungle known as "Vanya Van," Abhay trudged forward. The thick underbrush made each step a struggle, and the weight of his own fatigue bore down on him. The unsettling dreams that had plagued his sleepless nights had etched themselves into his mind, refusing to let go.

His path was shrouded in darkness, with only slivers of moonlight piercing through the dense canopy. As he pressed on, his sharp eyes caught something unusual, ancient symbols etched into the bark of tree trunks. They seemed to beckon him, whispering secrets of a forgotten past.

These cryptic symbols hinted at the jungle's history, and Abhay's curiosity got the better of him. He approached one of the trees, examining the symbols more closely. They appeared to be markers or messages from a long-lost civilization, their meaning hidden in the shadows.

Drawn by the symbols, Abhay followed their trail. The symbols led him deeper into the heart of "Vanya Van," where an eerie, moonlit waterfall lay in wait. The cascade was a tranquil oasis amidst the jungle's darkness, its silver glow contrasting sharply with the surrounding blackness.

As Abhay moved closer to the waterfall, his keen eyes spotted a similar symbol etched into the rock wall behind it. The moment his gaze fell upon it, a memory surged within him, like a forgotten melody playing softly in the recesses of his mind.

Abhay remembered a fierce battle, the clashing of swords, and the deafening roars of troops. He had fought alongside others against a kingdom's forces. Then, there was a fall, a plummet from a great height, and a disoriented awakening in the heart of the jungle. The curse, which had stolen his memory, seemed to relent, allowing glimpses of his past to emerge like flickering candlelight.

The return of these fragmented memories was a double-edged sword. While they provided some clarity about his past, they also raised countless questions. What had brought him to the jungle? What was the nature of the curse that imprisoned him in this enigmatic realm?

Abhay's determination, fueled by the recollection of his past, pushed him to venture further into the jungle.

With the symbol etched into the rock wall behind the waterfall, Abhay felt a pull towards the unknown. He reached out and touched the symbol. As his fingers made contact, a low rumble echoed from within the waterfall. It was as if the cascade itself held the key to a hidden world.

Without hesitation, Abhay made a bold decision. He began to climb the rocks protruding from the mountain. Each foothold was a test of his strength and resolve, but he was determined to unveil the secrets concealed within the mountain's heart.

Higher and higher he climbed, his fingers gripping the slippery stone, his body soaked from the falling water. At last, he reached a small cave-like opening in the mountain's middle, right next to the symbol. He stepped inside, water droplets trickling down his body.

As he ventured deeper into the cave, the darkness seemed to close in around him, and the distant echoes of dripping water became an eerie backdrop to his footsteps. Suddenly, Abhay's senses jolted as he caught sight of something that sent shivers down his spine. The cave was inhabited by goblins, strange and sinister creatures that dwelled in the depths of 'Vanya Van.
