She said, "Dad took Doudou out without even knowing how furious Mom must be; she might have even fainted in the bathroom!"
Shen Zhou was indifferent, "Never mind her! But Doudou, do you miss Mommy?"
Doudou shook her head, "A little, but not too much, 'cause Daddy is with me! I was just thinking how nice it would be if Mommy were here. I'd be hopping down the street, holding Dad's hand on my left and Mom's on my right. That would be so much fun."
With her face lifted, "Daddy, do you think there'll be a day like that?"
Shen Zhou smiled in response, "Of course, there will be, as long as you want it. If your mom doesn't want to come out and stroll with us, I'll just beat her until she agrees."
Doudou was startled, "Daddy, you're so brutal! Don't hit Grandma. If you hit her, I won't be happy. I want you and Mom to love each other. It'd be best if you could coax her to come out willingly to hang out with us."
Shen Zhou said, "Alright, that's not too hard."
