Although Merry was a war fanatic, he often displayed extreme calmness in actual combat, calmer than anyone else.
When the Infernal Demons did not come looking for trouble, he would occasionally go to other battlefields to fight for the Red Flame Nation. The neighboring demonic nations had all heard of him and feared him.
Originally, Merry had been huge in stature, a giant wolf demon. After being promoted to Demon Noble, he gained the ability to change his size and could shrink to almost human size, assuming the appearance of a wolf-headed humanoid.
This belligerent Demon General had conquered over twenty small nations after his promotion to Demon Noble. It was not until he met Lames that he became completely convinced of Lames's abilities, deciding to follow Lames in building a vast nation.
