The Qinglong drifted in wide circles down the main streets, where the water was at least two meters deep—plenty for navigation. Twenty meters long and four meters wide, it could navigate with ease as long as it didn't attempt to squeeze through narrow alleys.
Bai Quan spotted a magical dolphin, blue as a sports car and just as sleek.
He greeted the magical creature, calling out, "Hey, hey!"
A normal dolphin probably wouldn't have responded.
But a magical dolphin was different.
It lifted a fin, emitted burbling sounds from its mouth, and then made an attempt to come over.
The Qinglong moved slightly forward, but the dolphin seemed distracted by something else, swimming in another direction, looking back over its shoulder and calling out.
"It wants us to follow," someone concluded.
So, they steered the Qinglong to follow it.
Outside the town, the dolphin continued to glance backward, as if worried the Qinglong would turn around and disappear.
